Any one used wrist weights while netting? I can see a similar effect as using a heavy bat in nets.

Can't see why it won't work.
Don't keep them on when bowling though, you suddenly only bowl the short ball!

Check out this video researching the use of heavy bats. It's baseball but easily transferable to cricket.

I can never take those videos seriously since the cricket v baseball difficulty one :-[. The results were clearly true because they had American 'international star' (insert name here) representing cricket... ???
I personally used a slightly heavier bat last season and this season in the few nets I've had when using a slightly lighter bat again can really feel the difference. Hard to tell if it's improving my bat sped at the moment however.

There are opposing forces when you add a wrist weight, your timing is likely to be off by a mile. Why not hold pose with the bat longer and get the base and core stronger ?. The feeling of lightness after warm up using a heavier bat isn't conclusive to improve your power whereas a good base, a strong core, stable eye level, still head and clear mind would help. The major proponent of using a heavy bat ( Dhoni ) was capable of hitting long even before he used a heavy bat warm up routine and is probably the equivalent of the obsessive crease marking done by Trott or having a red rag in your pocket like Waugh , a routine/ ritual.
PS:- I did try wrist weight on my wrist and on a bat , neither worked/ was short lived to affect performance.

Haha, totally agree with this. The worst I remember was 'who hits harder, NFL or Rugby' then compared an NFL pro athlete vs a club amateur Rugby player!
