I bought some of the new Nike spikes back in October and wore them for the first time on Saturday. Really liked the comfort but the stitching to one of the panels have come loose. Got them from owzat and would have to send them back for a refund as nike's are out of stock for the season apparently. Should be able to get them elsewhere from someone else (have already spoken with jake) but has anyone else had the same issue with these?

Same happened to mine. The stitching came away on the inside left boot, after just one match!

The aim's to get you to buy new gear every year which means build quality is declining everywhere.
Seems these were so pants they couldn't even do that!

Have used my original pair in well over 40 matches now without problem. I'm so happy with them that I have purchased another pair.
These 2 stitching incidents are the only problems I have heard about with the current incarnations of Nike cricket shoes.
Problems can happen with any and all products of course, but we haven't had any feedback from our customers regarding problems with the Nike shoes.
I hope we can help Ian :)

Hope the stitching doesn't come loose on mine! Got them from the GCCC when I was in Melbourne.

Mine got through a season easily, they have been no better or worse than any other boots in terms of warranty issues.

Did you keep using them or did you replace/exchange them?

I replaced them with a pair of Adidas.

I'm yet to wear the Adidas in a game, due to the weather, but they're comfy. I did go for a larger size (normally I'm a 9 and got a 10). However, in the flesh they're a little cheap looking and I might be tempted to have a look at the New Balance.

Same has happened to mine. Poor build quality. Buying asics and staying with them from now on!
