So basically a lad turned up in the uk with his young family from Italy and wanted to play cricket as he had played the odd game in the time he lived in the boot....
He is from Pakistan But has found work over here in a spud factory for what I guess is a small wage (lincolnshire) now he has two kids and a mrs
To cut long story short in his first few games he has worn steel toecap boots and whites from sports D he has opened the batting and has scored 65.37no.3.45. All with borrowed kit.....!
I with the help of a cricket brand in Huntingdon now have for him
New stand up bag
New pads
New gloves
And some kook rubber shoes
He never asked for this but I feel if I can help a genuine person I would

I seriously believe we reap what we sow.you sowed some good stuff ,well played.
-
Well done
There is no better feeling than helping someone who genuinely appreciates it and never asked for it.
I've helped a few people out money wise and cricket kit wise and never expected something back.

That is really nice ..cheers guys
-
Sounds like you have done a really good thing there
-
Thanks
and also looks like he has a bat on the way courtesy of a very kind forum member
Just shows there are some kind and generous folk in the cricketing world

It is always amazing when guys like him can score loads of runs without making a fuss about bats grains pickup etc.
well done

Great stuff, well done bud :-)
I did the proverbial help an old lady across the road yesterday and it felt really good.
-
Fair play to ya! Shame there's not many people like you around!
-
Good man! That's what it means to be part of a proper club.
The good feelings engendered by a bit of altruism can only lead to good things for all parties.
(One of those being many, many runs for the team, I imagine!) :D

After admiring a can of special brew bouncing freely down a hill in the wind, a true English sight, I decided to put it in a bin.
It wasn't my special brew.
