				Hi all,
I am not a wicket keeper, but I am doing the job for my club's academy team on Sunday. I have pads and gloves from one of our keepers, but no inners. At the moment, I will be using both my pairs of batting inners and my gym gloves on top as inners, any thoughts on this?
 Cheers

Should be fine that, I only use basic inners when I keep and they wouldn't be as thick as what you're planning on

Great, cheers mate. Its bowlers aged between 14 and 16, but two bowl pace for Bucks and are pretty nippy, and I was thinking of standing up most of the time I keep so would need a bit of padding for them!

You're brave standing up to 14-16 year old "pace" bowlers. Byes galore as it's likely to be wayward (speaking from experience)

I can trust them to keep it outside off, had a go in the nets last night but only two balls came through to me, stopped them both but didn't take them cleanly. Skidding off a wet astro strip though, so should be simpler on Sunday!

Ah yes, I remember that youthful exuberance... :)

Much wiser now-a-days though (after broken fingers standing up to seam bowling)
