Hey guys,
One of my friends wants to make the handle oval at the bottom. I have searched and a lot of references/advices were made to using a tape but didn't find any elaborate responses on how to do it actually. Is is just as simple as cutting the tape and sticking it on the handle over and over until the desired shape is obtained? Any advice/tips are really appreciated.
Thanks.

Go to poundworld and buy the athletic tape, can you guess the price?? You are correct Kal just keep layering it on the face and back until it feels perfect.

DIY clear silicone sealant smoothed to desired thickness and shape prior to drying.

I am in the US so 6 rolls are around $15 and it should not be hard to do it. Thanks Perkins

I am pretty sure he would not want to take a chance with the silicone sealant....
Thanks for the replies guys!

Tennis racquet tape also works great

I beefed mine up with a shaped strip of an old octopus grip about 1" by 4" held in place with a little glue.

un bind the section that you want to reshape, shape with a rasp, then use PVA to re-bind it. If you want a slightly thicker bottom grip put half a chevron grip on the lower half of the handle.
This will be a permanent fix rather than temporarily gluing bits of grip or tape to it that may eventually come off.
All depends on whether your friend is confident enough to work on the bat or whether he just wants a quick fix.
