Well I've bought another new bat!
A GM icon this time, only a low end model (can you guess which?) but at £50 new (ex display) I wasn't going to miss out.
As it's ex display there were a couple of marks on the face, the grip had perished and the scuff sheet was starting to list. New grip and bat tape applied!
Initial reaction - this is light!
Put it on the scales - 2lb13! I think which raft has gone into the pickup!
There's 6 wonky grains (the ugly ones always go better I've found) and the Ping - I don't know, not tapped it up yet.

Bats, althought the statement is true in other senses :D
And not that I'm aware of, if you're referring to the mark on the face I think it's pen (no idea why they were drawing on display bats but hey ho!)

Just done a Ping test with a new ball - it went like excrement off a shovel!
Realising a new ball is hard so was always going to ping better, I then used an old ball. That pinged nicely too, think I might have got lucky with this one, seems to tap up very nicely and make a lovely noise. Hopefully there's plenty of runs in this one!
