Title: Knocking in required after removing scuff sheet and oiling
Post by: ozcfa on June 14, 2014, 07:55:25 AM
I have removed the scuff sheet from my favourite one year old bat and have given it two coats of oil (on face). The question is how much knocking in, if any, will now be required because of the re-oiling.

Thx

Not sure you'll need to give it more knocking in.

Maybe a quick light sand.

Hit a few quick balls if there are no seam marks on the blade your bat should be okay.

Give it half hour or so, just livens it up again.

If it's been used for a year, then it's already knocked in and doesn't need any further preparation.
