And so it begins!
As some of you may have seen in throwing my hat in and going to attempt to start a brand!
I have no stickers and no finalised branding yet (but there is a ball rolling on that) but have had my first customer! It was only a refurb but the guy was happy. No pictures however so by the rules of the forum it never happened.
Customer 2 and 3 dropped some bats with me today though.
First is a spartan MP 3000 for a "bat service" (new scuff sheet, re-apply toe guard and fix surface cracks)
Second is a repair job on an old favourite.
Here are the pictures!
What does the tape hide?

Very concaved

Toe guard off and some minor cracks

Now the repair job, this is going to be a nice early test of my work!
Picture sent by the "client" that section has snapped clean off!

The plus point on that major toe crack is that it is a clean break and will be easy to clamp together once you've got the glue in there

Update!
Toe damage repaired (and a nice new grip)

And the spartan
Cracks glued and sanded down. Dowel in the toe as it turned out the "surface crack" went halfway through the blade, toe guard re-applied and currently letting a coat of oil soak in.

As you can see in the pictures the cracks were quite deep, but they're glued so definitely not going anywhere (or likely to get any worse.
Not that I like to blow my own trumpet but I think I've done alright ;)
