I am toying with the idea of getting a duffle bag to take to training.
Currently I use an old wheelie bag but as I go straight from work to training (and therefore have to take the bag on peak trains) I get a few annoyed looks and comments from other commuters.
I am thinking that a duffle will be much better, however, I am worried about the potential extra wear on the shoulders of my suit jackets and also the general discomfort that comes with wearing shoulder straps whilst wearing a suit jacket.
Anybody in the same boat and have any suggestions or comments either way?
Would something like a GM404 bag be more suitable (no pun intended) with the single shoulder strap?
I generally only take shoes, pads, bat, gloves, strippers, box, lid, wicket keeping gloves and a change of clothes to training.

How about an Affinity duffle bag, either Hustle or Phantom?
Padded straps with an inner lining that is sort of neoprene/wetsuit like in nature, shouldn't harm your suit at all :)

Take off your jacket and hold on your arm... its hot now afterall!

Take your jacket off and leave on the back of your chair at work. Even better!

I too were Suits and go to training straight from Work, I have moved to the Duffle for the reasons you state, I have a millichamps & Hall T3 duffle bag and have not seen any effect on the Suit Jacket . It has padded straps , It is very comfortable and doesn't damage the Linen Suit ( which instantly crumples ). The Bag is able to take all you stated

Put on your change of clothing for the commute?

Is it possible to have a spare set of kit and keep that at the club, pads bat, lid ext, then just ship your clothes. I did this at uni.
