that 1190 Aussie$! Bloody Hell. For that kind of money i'd want it to make me dinner and do my washing as well!

To be fair its not just a bat
-
this is not just a bat.
it is a perfectly pressed, masterfully handcrafted, cosmetically stunning bat.
this is not just any old bat, it is a L&W bat.
sorry had to be done ;D feel free to submit better versions!

M91 - its not 1190 Aussie$ - £950 is $1735 by today's exchange rate.
And if you look on L&W website, thats actually $1990! Phew - thats steep.
But I believe you get a bat made from the absolute best willow that man can ever get his hands on.
Evidently they only make 5 or 6 of these bats a year due to the willow having to be the absolute dogs danglies!!!
But to quote the website:
"The Signature bat is accompanied by a second bat that is for use as the practice bat and maybe one to use if you cannot bear the thought of using the Signature bat you have just bought. The presentation case is similar in design to a gun case and contains the following: 1 Signature bat, 1 practice Bat (Privat Bin Quality), 1 bat stand for the Signature bat, 1 cone for applying grips, 10 grips, 1 bat mallet, bat oil, sand paper, repair tape, 1 bat facing and some superglue."
I can vouch that the practice bat (private bin quality) would be an awesome bat in its own right! The private bin is grade 1+ willow and is excellent quality.
But all that money would be so hard to part with for a cricket bat package, no matter how good the package!
I was tempted last year, but sanity prevailed and I controlled my bat obsession for once!
Would love to see a signature bat in the flesh though - bet it looks absolutely EPIC!

Laver's Forum shop has a signature bat for $650USD

It's 2.14 the post date is from 07 and it says the special is for this week only.. But I guess no harm in asking..
-
Saw that - but thats SH size with shorter blade and handle!
So bargain if you're a little shorted than normal. But make sure it fits first!!
-
Short handle yes but standard length..
Laver & Wood Signature Bat. Best Grade willow.
Weight 2.14
Short handle
Standard Blade

Bat is similar in shape to a Slazenger V600 shape

sorry about that - typing error. 1GBP : 2 AUS$ isn't it? I meant to say 1990!
-
I misread! Wonder if he would take an offer!? ;-)
$650 is still alot to part with this time of year!
