Recently I've moved house. It's a bigger house with more space indoors and out. It's in a great location (Mentone for those in Melbourne), literally 5 mins from the beach. It's closer to work, 15 mins quicker. Not far from the statin and straight into the city.
But all I really care about is it's not an apartment which means I can knock my bat in without pissing off the neighbours!
The lengths we go to.

:D
You my good man are a man with his priorities correct!

I have the same problem.I work nights so take any new bat into work and spend a hour or so a night in the maintinence room knocking it in.Pesky moaning neighbours haha
-
Another positive is I now have a cracking place to hang a ball on a string and have a quick knock up!

post a picture of this set up mate, very intriguing

Very simple setup. Ball on string on beam. Not ideal practice but good if you want a quick hit, gets the body back into the swing of things before preseason.

It's similar to the eye-in. When I get a middling bat I'll use that also, may even rig up a golf ball too.

For the third day in a row I'll be spending my lunch half hour in the car park with a sandwich and a bat mallet.
The lengths we go to!

I have always just used a sock, how did you attach ball to rope, did you just drill it through
nice setup btw both

It was bought for me as an Xmas present. Think you get them from BigW (Aus) but reckon you'll be able to track one down somewhere. My only gripe is its a poor quality ball and has gone soft and slightly out of shape.

Did a similar thing drilled a hole in a ball and hung it from a garage roof beam at shoulder height to practice the hook shot.

Have always used a sock but sg makes something called i-ball
