I was looking to buy Icon 808 for a very long time was waiting all these days to see if i could get something in deal and i finally saw it on Pro Direct cricket last week at first after reading reviews on CBF i wasn't sure if i want to take gamble and buy a bat from them as the quality may not be good or i may not get what i want. Since the price is only 85 pounds i pulled the trigger and made order on saturday and received the bat yesterday.
When i placed the order i choose Light weight bat as option but the bat weighs 2.10 lbs but it has extremely light pickup and feels more like 2.8 lbs.It has 8 straight evenly spaced grains.

I had been unsure on the icon profile, but got this 404 model brand new on eBay for £50 (has been sat in a storeroom unsold).
In its current state weighs 2lb13.5 but picks up much lighter. Most people guess 2lb8-2lb10 when they wave it round!
Pinged well from the off and can only improve as I play with it more, well and truly been converted to an icon fan (and I've got a few GMs to compare it to!)

That's a nice piece of willow there .. yeah at first when i was looking at pro direct cricket site i wasn't sure if i really want to order as i dont know if i will get alteast decent willow. but after i looked at it yesterday the ping is really nice . I am hoping it will play well.
