I'm looking to buy a Duffle but not sure which one, where better to ask than here? I want something that will fit my whites, pads, bat, etc and a change of clothes and trainers. Not too expensive say anything around £20-30.
-
I guess that depends how you want to fit all the equipment in.
The B3 cricket bag seems good value at £20 which is one big section (I think) with a draw string on the top.
The TON duffle is very large and has multiple compartments and is for sale at Vitas a little over your budget (£40) but has received excellent reviews on here.
Failing that, some have commented on the CK22 from M+H and was in the sale earlier in the season for around the £40 mark.
You then have some other duffles similar to the B3 one from GM, Kookaburra etc but not sure you'd get everything in there that you would want.
Plenty of topics on the forum worth searching through when you get a spare half hour

Love my M&H CK22 duffle.
Fits all my kits in it (inc. WK gear) with masses of room to spare!
-
Thanks both, I'll trawl through this section later when I have a bit more time.
-
The best duffle bag in my opinion is the TON Gladiator Duffle bag, closely followed by the GN1000 Duffle bag, both £40 with free UK delivery. GN1000 duffle bag is sold out for at least another few weeks.
In your budget i will put in a very good word for the affinity duffle bags.

I love my adidas England duffle...they're huge! Mines very well made and the stitching looks nice and tight however I'm aware Robyn at Vitas Cricket has had a problem with his. The adidas duffles can fit a huge amount of kit in

+1. I keep buying more gear to fill it up :)

Newbery duffle bags are good too.

Can heartily recommend the TON Gladiator, it's enormous and made of high quality fabric that feels as though it will be very durable.
-
I've got the ton duffle it's brilliant

Anyone used the Surridge pro duffle https://www.surridgesport.co.uk/pro-duffle-redblacksilver-2 (https://www.surridgesport.co.uk/pro-duffle-redblacksilver-2) wondering wether to get it and have a separate backpack for whites and toiletries for game s
-
The TON bag without a shadow of a doubt. For £40 not sure there is a better duffle

Thoughts on the Slazenger V360 Holdall bag? http://www.slazenger.com/cricket-luggage/v360-holdall.html. (http://www.slazenger.com/cricket-luggage/v360-holdall.html.) Looks nice but never seen one in the flesh.

Do you use the bag for matches? Does it take all your whites, spikes, towel, food etc or do you need to take another small bag for clothes?

I have one. Works very well. With all your kit in it does get very full, and I wouldn't recommend it if you are carrying wk gear.
I carry two bats, pads, two pairs of gloves, helmet, box, aero p2s, boots, trousers, shirt, jumper, boxers and socks, travel towel, two or three balls plus a few other bits and pieces in one.

Also have M&H CK duffle, fit everything in easily.
Pads, Aero p1 and a bag of 2 x gloves, inners, 2 caps and other bits in one side pocket.
Towels wash stuff etc in the 2nd side pocket (and dirty kit after the match)
2 x spikes in the boot compartment in the bottom
2 bats, hoody, training kit, 2 jumpers, and all cricket whites plus helmet in the central compartment with loads to spare.
I use it for matches and training it's massive and stands up with all kit in or out.
-
I wish we have all these bags available in US, shipping cost just kills it :(
-
I have the old woodworm red duffle which is great for match days! Fits pads, gloves, helmet, whites and two pairs of spikes and room for some sundries!

Woodworm here too, I assume we are talking about the large duffle with the two shoulder straps.
http://www.woodworm.tv/woodworm-cricket-pro-series-duffle-holdall.aspx
Duffles are not so popular in oz yet, so I got mine off ebay cheap. Two padded bat pockets is handy and the two side pockets are great for pads. The lack of internal pockets is a minor letdown, but the fact I can pack another bag inside and a small cooler is a huge bonus. The thing is the size of my old kooka wheelie, but I appreciate not hitting everyone and thing I pass by carrying the wheelie.
-
That's basically the Ton duffle that Vitas sell but in red.

Wow, same basic design ton colour scheme is not as loud and probably more appealing to the eye. Must say the woodworm is a bit top heavy if you have enough gear to fill it, maybe the ton being more rectangular is more stable free standing. Still both bags are a great idea. It would easily take a set of pads in each side pocket, so if I was a keeper that would be great for organising my gear. The top pocket is lockable too.
Edit: I just watched the ICJ review and it's the same bag, but the TON has more padding on the back and the name tag. Agree with Paul I wish the front pocket allowed me to store a helmet. I brought a separate woodworm shoe bag...so I guess I now have two.
-
What's the thoughts on an External front pocket on duffle bags? Alot of duffle bags have these large flat zipped pockets on the front which when the bag is full one can't really put anything in other than a thin phone etc despite the pockets size.
Are shoe pockets important in a duffle bag and if so is the bottom of the bag the best place?
-
Just ordered the affinity phantom duffle bag from Vitas. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. Looks sweet in the pics.

I bought a cheap adidas football boot bag from sports direct - does the job - keeps dirty spikes off other stuff

Agree. Find this the best way.

I've been using the GN duffle - I know they are really hard to get hold of, but mine has taken over as my main match bag!
Takes 2 pairs of boots, helmet, 2 bats, pads, 2 pairs of gloves, thigh pads, caps, whites, box, inners, shades, sun lotion, etc.
Has two slots for the bats, shoe section in the bottom, a separate zipped top for whites, and three external additional zipped pockets so well planned out!
Stands up well too and comfy to carry as the straps and back are well padded.
Is it the best? Not sure how it measures up to the MH, TON and other similar high quality duffles. But it's certainly up there with the best IF you can get hold of one!! :(
-
Trypeus - have you got any decent images of the BB bag - I'm intrigued by it, and wonder how big it is, and how much you can really get in it?
-
I've been using the GN duffle
Is that the GN1000 duffle? Looks like a great bag.
-

It is a great bag - been using it since the start of the season. Unfortunately I've had to do quite a few running repairs on it. Including stitching one of the straps back on....
-
I like the GN1000 Duffle, just watched the IJC review on it.
-
This is the Slazeng V360 full with everything earlier described, plus a pair of wk gloves and my lunch...

I would check out the Affinity duffle bag. I have the Affinity Juggernut wheelie bag and it's by far the best bag I've owned.
-
ive just picked up a slaz duffle from the usual class supplier ie sports direct for a bargain £8.50
also a harrow slaz bat with 12 straight grains , decent ping and lovely pick up. £15 yet the same model, wonky grained planks were twice the price

Nothing wrong with that. Buy to your budget and next year you can have next years model for the same price. The Slaz stuff is fine to me.

Can anyone point me to cricket gear site that sells M&H CK22 duffle bag please? Seems like it's sold out everywhere. Thanks!
-
Try morrants, I got mine from there in the end.
-
I'll still stand by the fact that the Woodworm duffle is the best on the market. Does anybody know the difference between this one and the CK22?
-

Here's the link to pics already on the site matey - I'll try to do a couple of my own. It's not a monster bag but you can get full kit including an Ayrtek lid in it. The bag fits very comfortably in the boot of my Audi TT. Having said that, I wouldn't say that it's suitable for wicket keepers (the bag or the car).
http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=29317.0 (http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=29317.0)
In my bag are, pads, thigh pad, arm guard, box, ayrtek lid, whites (including jumper and spare socks), spikes (in a boot bag) neoprene knee support, two pairs batting gloves, two bats in the bat pockets. It still has some room for extra stuff to be shoehorned in too.

And £20 for a brand name!

The colour...
Many thanks for the clearly obvious answer ;)And £20 for a brand name!
The only reason I'd go with the CK22 is if I had all other M&H gear so it was all matching
-
I found the woodworm bag, but they don't do shipping to US :(
-

The front pocket on the ck22 is different and allows a helmet or shoes to fit. Back of bag looks identical. Also is black. Not sure it's worth the extra dosh.
Paul at IJC compared the ck22 and Ton bags. Said ton was larger. Ton is closer to woodworm. In fact the woodworm has the ck22 back and ton front.
-
Can also vouch for the Woodworm. Had one delivered this week replacing a GN Pro Performance (after one season of use).
Masses of space and feels very sturdy and comfortable on the shoulders.
Bargain at £30 and they have 15% off extra off at the moment
-
This is an old thread.
Despite my reservations on colours, the kook pro players duffle 2015 is certainly the best I've come across in space and design
-
Just been looking at these, look quite deep on the pics, they ok to carry fully loaded?

My mistake, they must be out of stock, they definitely had them in at one point!
Pro Direct seem to have them though

It seems a step back from my look. So shall wait till they update it.

Looks exactly the same as my woodworm one.

If the woodworm one that is virtually identical is anything to go by, don't let it get wet as the dye runs and leaves all your kit pink!
-
That looks very red!
Get the Red Ink one instead! Great duffle!

Yeah its a top quality bag as I've used it all season, although Gray Nicolls seem to be bringing a really good bag out soon for the 2016 season
-
ive had the kookaburra for half the season and love it
-
Going through NB South African site this is their 2016 duffle, anyone confirm/deny?
-
Their 2016 bags are the same as 2015, so that is the duffle yes.
-
Really? Because it looks way different! Maybe my eyes are deceiving me

Two different angles and the bags are filled out differently i would suspect. Your second pictured looks like the bag has been stuffed to the brim with filler for the photo, most people use old cardboard or cut chunks of foam to size to fill out a bag for display/photos.
