Do you think cricketers are becoming cocky? Sakib Al Hasan is new addition after KP, Gayle, Kholi, etc

Sounds like he was being a knobhead so they've told him to sort his act out!
-
I feel like every team have few of these knob heads lol

Yeah they probably do, I'm sure my teammates would say I'm one of them! :D

I wish more boards where as proactive as Bangladesh to take action against these bad apples to keep the players and team behaviour in line to succeed as a team.
Yes Virat Kohli is a great example and so is Rohit (no-hit) Sharma.
I think 1999 and 2010 Pakistan had a team full of very talented individuals but there was always some dressing room drama with Akhtar, Afridi or other such individuals involved.

afridi had so much talent....he could have been a much greater player than he is.

There is fine line between confidant and being cocky. I def. think Kholi and Rohit Sharma are cocky rather than confidant. I think that's the reason Tendulkar is admired so much by even non-Indians, because he is down to earth and very humble...even after breaking almost all records.
No one got more chance in Indian team than Rohit Sharma or maybe Manjrekar lol

Hopefully we get more cricketers like him

Look at that Power bat - had one of those as a lighty!

Talented player, but if he's causing an issue in the dressing room and beginning to influence young players, then it is best to set a strict example early before it becomes common place.
Not the same, but one lad at our club had an attitude problem. When he got out it was always someone else's fault, he'd throw his gear, swear and basically being a total 'you know what'. We had a few u15s in the team, so we didn't want them doing the same. He was punished by the club, and it seemingly taught him a lesson because he's not done the same again (or at least when I've played).
Some might see it as harsh to ban a cricketer for a bad attitude, but for me, it can be needed in order to set the tone as to what is acceptable behaviour and what isn't. Hopefully Shakib learns from this and comes back more humble and down to earth. He is a good player and his team needs him to play and be a team player.

Bangladesh ban best player. Get applauded.
England ban best player.....

Slight difference is that Shakib is in his prime and healthy (?), whereas KP is arguably on borrowed time with his knees. It was always going to be a question of how long KP's body could withstand the rigours of the international schedule, when combined with his desire to play the IPL.
Don't get me wrong. I'd have KP in my England line up. But from a longevity stand point, I'm not sure KP could play all three forms internationally and play the IPL and big bash etc for more than a couple of years. I could be wrong. Perhaps he could handle it for many years to come, but he'd have to be injury free and not suffer any further knocks, and that would be difficult.
The other thing is KP and the 'yes man' culture has never really fitted hand in hand. I don't think Cook and KP get along. I wouldn't be surprised if it came down to Cook saying "it's me or him". Maybe it's not related, but we saw Swann give up and retire mid-series. Swann defended KP, so maybe there was a rift in the dressing room between certain players and it came to a breaking point? Wouldn't surprise me if that was part of the reason Swann quit.
I think KP should still be in the side, but I don't see it ever happening again.

I agree, I don't see why Bangladesh get applauded for this yet the ECB get criticised so heavily when KP is on his way out anyway and Shakib is probably the best rated 'all-rounder' in the World.

Kohli??? He is confident and doesnt give an inch to opposition when he is competing...
Time and again you will see senior Indian cricketers talk about his work ethic and his attention to detail...
