Title: Pros and Cons of offset edge

Can someone please explain pros and cons of offset edges? From what I know so far it helps with the pickup and extends sweet spot...

Yes, but I don't see any negative of having offset edge and if so then how come more bat makers are not using this concept?

Batmakers can extend the middle and sweet spot of the blade without off setting the thickess part of the edge to the highest point of the spine.
