I purchased a new bat and need advice, i don't have linseed oil, but have Lord Sheraton Wood Wax. Is it ok to use this for the first time?.
-
it would not do any damage however it contains turpentine which can remove natural oils. I am assuming it has very low levels of turpentine.

This product is a wood Balsam and contains beeswax pine turpentine and cold pressed linseed oil it is used to clean and nourish wood in the furniture industry if you do decide to use it your bat Will have a shiny finish.

If you're not keen on the mess of using raw linseed oil, then Salix bat wax is good stuff.

Use the wood balsam, it's great stuff. A little bit goes a long way.

You don't actually need to oil a bat.
A scuff sheet at most to protect the front.
Knocking in is more important than oil.

It has to be raw linseed oil. Please make sure as all home improvement stores in US sell boiled linseed oil.
