Title: New H4L kit
Post by: potzy248 on July 19, 2014, 10:48:36 PM
Took the plunge and decided to get some new kit for the coming seasons. Loved the look of the H4L stuff and having only heard good things about the bats I decided to go for it.
Firstly I saw an NV grade 1 that weighed 2.7 on the IJC website. I contacted Paul and made sure that was the true weight before putting the order in. He was prompt with all my questions and sent the bat and a pair of gloves out very speedily. The bat and gloves arrived in NZ 5 days after I placed the order which is pretty awesome. The service was top notch and I would recommend IJC to everyone.

Secondly I needed the pads and as Paul was out of MRH I contacted Jake at Vitas. Again the service was exceptional and he was always quick to respond to my emails. While the postage is pretty high buying pads from the UK you still get a pretty good deal as pads of this quality in NZ would cost more than it did to import them. I also for some more gloves to finish off my kit.

The softs are exceptional and very comfy.

I had my first hit with the bat yesterday and I am happy to say that it is one of the best I have used. Having knocked it in for 3 hours I was eager to see how it went. Safe to say I have made a great decision and I'm absolutely stoked with the bat. It pings like all the Lavers I have used in the past and the finishing is just sublime. H4L make an exceptional bat. All in all I'm a very happy man. Thanks to both Paul and Jake for their help and I look forward to getting more stuff in the future.

Great looking kit you have there. I am seriously tempted with th H4L pads and gloves. How would you say the weight of the pads are? I've been reading around them and the quality and protection are top but they seem to be on the heavier side compared to others in the same range. However these are just figures on a page and was wondering how they feel on?

I have used GN Legends the last few seasons and they are amazing. These new pads feel no different (Well I don't feel a massive difference even if there is one). If they are heavier then you can't feel it. Gloves are up there with GN Legends or other top brands.

Pad really looks like high end SS pads tho, maybe H4L is importing pads from SS?

Who knows, don't all softs get made out of India now? Wouldn't surprise me.
Bloody good pads though.
