bit random i know

but does anyone else think  ian blackwell deserves another chance in englands ODI side ?


he has hade a great season with durham!

i think he is a great player ! maybe a bit overweight and a liability in the field ?

From what i saw of him at durham (quite a lot) i wouldnt have said he was a liability with his fielding, he's no monty

absolutely, got a good arm, safe pair of hands and not slow. seen him lots in the past few years for somerset, but looked a different player against us this year! bowling and batting wise

I don't think his weight or anybodys should be an issue!!! If your good enough you should play!!

yeah i agree - i think he should be given a second chance , think he could be VERY useful.

Know Ian well, and he's worked hard on his fitness lost a lot of weight for this season compared to how he was but he's naturally a unit!  Won't get another chance for England as he doesn't fit the current bill with regards to fitness they dropped Samit, so that's set the bar now I'm afraid, top player though deserves another go!

yeah , i dont think samit patel is good enough to play for england though whether he is fit or un-fit ! i would love to see ian blackwell in an england shirt again.

i like to see him play for england, not in a england shirt again im sure it will be like a sumo wrestler wearing a shrunken england shirt jokes lol

Nope, he did ok in List A cricket this year but not well enough to warrant selection in the ODI side IMO.
Was one of the best players in the CC though.
