Took the wife to her first ever cricket match yesterday and while there bumped into these two guys. Had a great chat with Stuart while he was having a little weight taken out of his two new bats which had just arrived. He carries around 12 bats with him ???.
Then bent the GN guys ear for a while and he to was a fountain of knowledge even going as far as to give me a run down player contracts/ where GN bats are made as well as the fussiest players they sponsor and a little mention about the new addition to the range for next season.

Chris King, now doing a lot of the custom bat work at GN and a very nice bloke :D
-
Spoke to him at Lord's, nice chap and makes all of Shiv's bats
-
Made my custom dynadrive, did he. It's a belter of a bat.
-
Talented bloke. Remember the AF14 Powercone for April Fools day? The perfectly round cone carved out the back of the bat was done by hand.

I think he was an antique furniture repairer before he got into the cricket bat market so i can imagine he is very good with his tools when it comes to delicate work.
-
brilliant bat maker - and virtually unknown, especially on here. I still love that "powercone" bat.
He also made the bats for the cricket game in Downton Abbey...!!

Some pretty decent sale offers judging by the little posters too!
