I've been looking for a while to find bats for around £200, looking for a good quality bat that performs well, preferably a mid-low middle and minimal concaving. Can anyone help me out with some specific suggestions?
-
Aldred.

Aldred.
Any specific model with a lower middle?
-
You can talk to him regarding your specs.... he will carve one for you for sure.... but if you ask me.....New Velocity is good, but I like his Silver profile.
-
I will pm him cheers mate
-
I've got a Velocity and it is quite bottom heavy. I've got a HitsHard and i've had 4 H4L bats through my hands which are both really good manufacturers, only reason I sold 2 is because teammates wouldn't give me them back!! Also BB, B3 etc will be able to sort you a really good bat for that money.

Anyone got any other suggestions?

I have some other B&S bats in stock too.
I have H4L bats either side of £200 in stock that are lovely.
Loads of choice given your budget, send me a pm.
-
Yup
Speak to Paul, you won't regret it
Aldred bats are up there with the best
-
don't forget blank bats or h4l, all wonderful bats ..
-
Considered h4l and blank bats but only get a grade 2 from h4l for around £200 would ideally like a grade 1
-
B3 or aldred butterfly and save yourself some cash (g1 does not provide performance! Pressing does)
-
Heard a lot of good things about butterfly are they as good as everyone says?
-
Butterfly is an excellent option if you like a cheaper bat. In my opinion, they're no better or worse than normal clefts.
For £200, there is a huge range of bats you can pick. If you would prefer to spend less, then a butterfly may be a good option, but there is nothing wrong with spending a bit more. There are lots of bats off the top of my head I would recommend, what are your preferences in terms of pick up, handle shape and weIght? If you have a peculiar handle shape preference, definitely go for a custom, as I feel handle shape is often overlooked!
-
Yeah I like an oval handle mid-low middle full profile reasonable edges not essential though don't mind spending a little more just not £300+

Just to let you know that I've a Pro, G3, G3, and a few Devils from Matt.
The best performing bat? The G3 long blade. It's now in the hands of a current international player who may use it competitively.
Buying a H4L G2 is the same as buying a £490 'pretty' stick.
Matt's pressing is first class and he will tweak a shape as well.
Oh, what about Warsop? Tony will make you a belting G1 for that money.

Hunts and Red Ink make the most comfortable oval handles in my opinion. A G1 blank Hunts from Vitas Cricket is £165, which may be your best option!
-
The Red Ink that Simon had for sale recently looked really nice

At 200 spondoolicks you can see that you are spoiled for choice!

I would recommend Warsop. My current bat is from there, made to my specs (not too dissimilar from yours) and posted for £185!! Goes pretty well too!
-
Saw a red ink at the weekend that looked really nice shame they guy on the other end wasn't too good

Should have offered him £175 for it
-
He wasn't there long enough for me to ask him

Go for a SS cricket bat. I bought one for £230 direct from SS and it's their top range bat made on Virat Kohli spec. Oval handle and minimum concaving the way you want it. Also a low middle but it has a big sweetspot and pings well from low of the bat to high up. Lovely balance and pick up and the best pinging bat I have come across. You will love it.

I've only seen ss bats with lots of concaving was yours a special request?
-
You will be confused with the number of choices you can find here. But H4L, BB and B3 would be my suggestions.

No wasn't a special request I asked for their top range ss bat which they make for international players and that has minimum concaving and they said the specs virat kohli uses suits my specs as I wanted minimum concaving. So they made me a bat as they make for Kohli. I have put pictures up and review on this forum in the sareen sports section check it out.
If interested in it let me know I could help you get in touch with them.

Fattus I think mate. County are well worth a look and very underrated in my opinion.

Where was that? I can make a good bat but I can't promise the person holding it can actually use it

That's what I thought but I couldn't find it in his post history. I wanted to share the pics to give a better idea as to what I mean by gorgeous.

I think B&S and H4L are right in your budget, Vitas got some good collection. Make sure to post some pictures once you get it :)
-
I would go witth either an H4L Hattori or a custom made Aldred, both will give you fabulous bats for under £200. I have a grade 2 Hattori and it's a superb low middled bat.

You cannot go too far wrong with a solitaire for a 100 all in.

Are they still around and going?
-
You can get a blueroom from rpc for that money
-
All brands mentioned above so far offer a great product. If I was to make a call , I'd go with who answers the phone first.
-
I use a Warsop Venom £225, quality bat! Enjoyed many runs with it and have never had a problem with it breaking!
