Trying to organise a club tour for 2015 - In the UK.
Was just wondering if anyone has any ideas of the best way to go about organising this ?
Ideally be 3-4 nights away. With a Game each day and close to a good night out.
Any ideas will be great guys.
Thanks
Dan

Pick a location first and then contact all of the clubs in the local area - I used to arrange the tours for the university side and its easy enough to sort if you have a set location. We went to Leicester, Nottingham and Leeds and all 3 were good nights out it has to be said - I'd probably say Leeds was the best in all fairness!

Lots of teams around Yorkshire of varying standards. Feedback is that most tours are good. Nottingham too. Did a good one to Blackpool a good few years ago, that was a very good laugh.

Agree with this, as wrong as it probably sounds, work out your night out first then work backwards. Get a hotel in town near your night out too. Far easier to drive too and from grounds a little further out and then stumbling back by foot to your hotel later than it is getting cabs to remote villages at 3am. Also if you pick big enough towns you have some flexability with cancelled fixtures etc as there will be enough clubs around to rearrange games.

cheers guys....
Are most clubs open to the idea of midweek friendlys usually ?
or are they difficult to find ?

depends where you are based too - you want somewhere different from home!

Were in Hertfordshire...
So quite a few options available to us I suppose.

Well, you could do London, Kent, up to Worcester-way or out to the Cotswolds easily enough from there.

Come visit cheltenham :)
Loads of clubs open to games and I'm happy to point you to the good grounds so you don't end up on dog tracks. I can even get you discount at the holiday in in the centre of town
