Title: Shoe Doctor
Post by: charliemott on August 11, 2014, 01:13:42 PM
Hi Guys,

Had a look throught the threads and couldnt see anything. Has anyone tried to get a pair of Nike Free's spiked up? Is this possible with the sole?

Just wondering before I get in touch with them,

Cheers

B&B did a pair of frees for a customer of ours recently, no problems, was only half spike mind.

(To my knowledge) The Shoe Doctor don't stitch their soleplate into your trainer, B&B do.

Who is B&B mate? Been looking at getting my trainers spiked for a while but only knew about the Shoe Doctor - would be good to have a look!

What difference does this make? Is it just that they will last longer or something to do with the material of the sole?

Also how much does it cost?  ???

You won't find details of Brian and Brenda online because they are old school. All business done via post and phone only, not even email. I send cheques in the post along with the trainers and when i get my sums wrong they often send back cash along with the trainers!

I assume the glues used by B&B and the Shoe Doctor are sturdy and should last, the stitched sole just gives me a bit more peace of mind.

I can give you the prices we offer, which will be more than going directly to B&B (if you can get hold of them) - prices are on our website.

I have had 3 or 4 pairs of trainers spiked by them in the past, all very good quality.

I do like that a lot! I've found them on your site now, will be in touch when I do eventually get round to it...

Have had a couple pairs done by Shoe Doctor and never had any problems with the glue only.

Just send him a tweet about them

Bit of a scary coincidence,,, but was just admiring the M&H bats he has in his shop window today!
Think he's selling the traded in bats from their recent offer?
Had some very nice bats for around the £100 mark

They all looked fairly modern in profiles
Most looked hardly used?
Not a fan of the stickers they had on
Well worth a look at the prices tho

Just an update on this, I tweeted him last night and he said they would be able to do it.

Once I have managed to find a White Pair of Nike Free's (a seemingly impossible task. Nike id may be the answer)

I will post some pictures :)

The Shoe Doctor is M&H - just look at the registered addresses.

They were always going to sell the traded in bats on, they've just done it via the Shoe Doctor so as not to devalue the main brand, clever move.
