Strange question, but with the suggestion to reduce weight by taking stickers off I've had an idea!
Anyone know the weight if a Factory fitted GM Scuff sheet?
-
Can't imagine it'd make much difference, personally I've never used a bat without a scuff sheet though so can't really comment
Also thought you'd appreciate this mate, appears you've hit a nerve with a certain someone! ;)

Haha got to love the guy! :D
All he's doing is making me famous ;)
Hi James, maybe spend more time on R&D of your products than reading the posts on here you'd make some decent kit!
Then again, if you spend so long on here it explains why your customer service is so poor ;)

I did the same thing to reduce weight from my argon, turned out it was nearly an ounce but I didn't feel much of a difference after removing tbh , I'm still not using that bat due to weight.
-
Haha Cam you must have upset him!
-
probably little less than a grip, but don't think it would matter since it's spread out on the bat face
-
The weight of a scuff sheet is around 0.5 ounce. a bit lighter if the sheet comes with fiber edges.

How on earth does that make you a 'pikey'?
Urban Dictionary definition of the term, 'Pikey': From the English "turnpike", the place where itinerent travellers and thieves would camp near a settlement.
Pikey is not a racial group, the term is used to describe anyone who lives in a caravan or shares the same values and "culture" of "the travelling community", and whose main sources of income are as follows:
Stealing cars, flogging roses in pubs for "childrens' charities", nicking lead off roofs, burgling garden sheds, blagging entry to old peoples house to rob them, doing dodgy tarmac jobs ("we've got some black stuff left over from a job up the road"), sometimes with mint imperials used as a substitute for white chippings, or, reportedly, using snow to lay slabs on when the sand ran out, stealing your testicles if they weren't in a sealed bag plus anything else that's not nailed down and anything that is nailed down but will fit in the back of an untaxed Transit when nobody's looking.
Characterised by lurchers on a string, a unintelligible language that "isn't English, it isn't Irish, it's just Pikey" (source: Film: Snatch), a penchant for harecoursing, ketamine, lighter fuel, fighting in pubs and shopping at Lidl.
I genuinely didn't think you fitted into that category Cam! ;)

Well a man on the internet said it so it must be true!
I'm just off to sell a few stolen cars, get myself a caravan and go shoplifting in my local poundland, don't mind me! :D

Cam, he's really got it in for you mate! There's at least 3 recent topics on his facebook page about throeads you've started. Did you send him a naked picture or something?

No I haven't sent one of them, not that I'm aware of anyway.
He can start all the topics he likes about my threads, I know I'm a thick pikey anyway so him telling a few more people doesn't hurt :D
-
I wouln't say you are. besides, you've come a long way since the days of repairing a bat with staples...

Being called a pikey by an Irish bloke must smart a little though...

Been called worse by people who I have more respect for so it really couldn't bother me any less.
