Post by: Bambooman on August 22, 2014, 04:33:06 PM
I was wondering how many bat makers out there make their own handles?

Charlie French makes his own handles, I'm sure there is a video/photo out there somewhere showing his supply of cane.

Yes , I know Charlie French and Hawk make their own - I like Charlie's quote about there only being 2 parts to a bat so you might as well make them both.

Not many do as it's more expensive and I've also been told you get taxed more on the raw cane when you import.

So where do all the bat makers get their handles from ? Is there one big central handle maker ?
