Title: GN 2015 Pre Orders
Post by: Vitas Cricket on September 02, 2014, 11:26:48 AM
Hi guys,

The 2015 GN ranges are now out in the wild, and proper images will start hitting websites soon. I have updated the GN 2015 thread with some images but the quality isn't great, we'll work on getting some better ones ASAP. You can find the topic here: http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=31117.msg489024#msg489024 (http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=31117.msg489024#msg489024)

Please contact me for a PDF copy of the catalogue which i can email over.

As last years pre-order offer to the forum went so well, we are running one again, offering 10% off on any equipment ordered and paid for (non refundable deposits of £50+ on bats are accepted) by September 30th. I will hand select your bat to your spec when we visit Robertsbridge in just a few short weeks! We offer free delivery and i will knock in any bats ordered for free too :)

Please note the prices listed below are BEFORE ANY DISCOUNT IS APPLIED.

What did you think to the WK gear? Really fancying the new gloves!

Wasn't sure what to make of the new Omega XRD glove when looking at it. As soon as i tried it on though (with the inners) i was sold. Very comfy and incredibly minimalist which i like as i prefer to feel close to the ball. The palm will not please the purists of the game but GN said that many pros have been trialling it and making positive noises.

Are any of the Omega models UK made? if not do they offer a custom option for a  UK made one?

Grays make some bats in the UK. I am not privy to which ones are UK made and which aren't. I have certain things that i look out for which leads me to believe a certain bat has been made at Robertsbridge. The Vortex i have on sale in another topic is a bat io believe is UK made for example.

To guarantee a bat made at Robertsbridge, we do offer a custom option yes. It is £350 from us, please contact me to discuss.

Yeah ok thanks, I will do. Would Omega shape be suitable for lighter weights?

I was curious about what's being UK made now, anything out of GN Melbourne have an aussie made logo on the side making it quite obvious where they are made, not that there's anything wrong with the Indian made bats, they have improved out of sight.

Have they changed the sizing for softs over there for next season? It's caused quite a bit of confusion here.

Sizing is the same as 2014 to my knowledge. The gloves were noticeably smaller fit for 2014 though.

They have changed OSM gloves to large, mens to medium, youths the same, junior for boys. Nick Gray is calling into our store on Monday, it was his brainchild apparently.

Ah the naming of the sizes, they are small, medium (everyone referred to medium as mens anyway) and large this year i believe, changing boys to juniors is new for 2015.

Yes we saw the whole range way back in July :)

The new thigh pad system is very nice, similar to the current system but thinner and lighter, i assume thanks to the use of Poron XRD. It will be approx £45

Oooo, I may well have to invest - been looking for a good thigh guard set but just can't afford to stretch to Stretton's!

That Vine you've done is certainly intriguing - can imagine it'd work perfectly on a thigh guard

Definitely stocking them, one of the smash hits of 2014.

I actually have a small number coming in 2-3 weeks before the main shipment in November.

£40 as they were this year.

one last question that will decide it. how do they compare to aero p2 strippers in terms of weight and thickness?

Honestly hard to say weight wise as we did see the range a very long time ago (mind will be refreshed soon at the trade show) but they were quite thin.

Can you get some pics of the new duffle if possible Jake. Interested in the slightly different shape and how kit could fit in etc

Whats the crack with the palms, I can't see them on your pics. Also how do the prestige and E41 gloves compare, is there any difference other than back of hand and colour? I'm tempted to add the prestige to my selection!! ;)

Here you go, mate - it's only a stock photo, but you can zoom in on the image if you hover over it, so should give you a pretty good idea...
