They look really good for the price of just £17 but has anybody had experience with them?
Here's the link - http://onlinestockist.com/Unbranded-TEST-Cricket-Batting-Pads-P2967467.aspx (http://onlinestockist.com/Unbranded-TEST-Cricket-Batting-Pads-P2967467.aspx)
Also the gloves - http://onlinestockist.com/ULTIMATE-All-White-Light-Weight-Cricket-Batting-Gloves-UNBRANDED-P2714386.aspx (http://onlinestockist.com/ULTIMATE-All-White-Light-Weight-Cricket-Batting-Gloves-UNBRANDED-P2714386.aspx)
Just £19 too.

I have the gloves that you linked, and the £25 set of pads. The pads are great, amazingly comfortable not so heavy and still in very good shape after a seasons use. The gloves on the other hand don't exactly take sweat so well compared to other gloves I've had and didn't really have a full season's worth of "grip" in them, so have been downgraded to a pair just for training only and will act as a spare. For £17 though, they lasted up to 3 weeks left of the season so I'm not complaining. :) Oh and they're very, very light!!!
-
I had a pair of the £25 pads.
They're small mens size, good protection and very light.
Covering isn't the highest quality, but they do the job, have padded straps and best of all the straps aren't miles too long.
Durability wise, if you dive for your ground in an indoor game, the floor comes out better off than the pads... :(
-
They're a great pair of net gloves!
-
you pay for what you get. If you want softs to last, invest in them and get better quality stuff - a better approach in my view.

Are these bats nock offs or just stupidly cheap?

Tempting to buy a really heavy one and shave it down!

I'm still not sure there's such a thing as a real reebok bat!
Go for it anyway, what's the worse that can happen for that price??
-
Make sure you ask Ajit/OS for a pic of the bat before paying for it just to be sure he has it in stock. Reebok does sell bats in India in their stores, not sure where they are made.
-
What about this? Does not look bad at all, especially for that price.

Has anyone used BDM before? I have emailed him for the actual bat pic, we will see.

What's the catch? Seems far too cheap, why can't every other supplier offer prices this cheap?
-
It's cheap because it's located close to the manufacturer and where labour and material costs are less. When it reaches to UK/Europe/Australia shipping, distribution and profits charges are added on top of the original costs. But advantage buying locally is you can try the product before buying to know whether it matches your preferences and pre/post sale services. Pros & Cons to your own needs :)

Don't forget all these products are made for the local market where, frankly, hitting a price point is the key factor, not quality. After sales care is basically nil when buying something from overseas.

I'll like to contradict you, in every market (in every country) you have products which are cheap (and as per you Not Quality) and there are others which are expensive (and better quality like you mean). TBH all the softs which you see in international market come mostly from India/Pakistan and companies like SG, SS/TON & BAS manufacture excellent quality products at prices which are affordable due to relatively cheap labour and raw materials. If it's bought locally in India you'll definitely get after sales service which might be missing when there's a cross border sales. When I need to buy internationally I'll definitely prefer forum sponsors Vitas/IJC/Uzi or others due to tried & tested service.
I beleive you should try most of these products before you make a generalised statement like that.

I have plenty of experience of the products of all of those companies. I thought this topic was referring specifically to the very cheap stuff sold by online stockist?
They sell some good bats yes, though I maintain all their stock is intended for the subcontinental market (and there is a difference between an export SS & a home market SS, even a high end one) which is why it is so well priced. The bats don't concern me too much, obviously one of those reeboks that a poster above linked to isn't going to be worth buying, and nor are the pads for £17, but some of the more expensive stuff sold by online stockist is definitely worth a look at. Bearing in mind the intended market, the likelihood of zero after care, and factoring in delivery cost/potential import duties, there can be a good deal or two if you are prepared to take the risk.

This kit is great! How on earth it can be produced and sold for these prices it's beyond me. I use it myself and have sold a bit in the past. I used gloves from another brand up until about half way through this year and changed to these and I rate them highly!

Read the posts above - it's fair cheaper to source directly from India than from someone who's had to import the products.

Allegedly!!!
Vic Nicholas will confirm that home market ones can actually be better if not the same.
In my experience the top end SS costs almost the same in India [after the exchange rates] and not taking any discounts in to account. So unless you have some industry contacts, there really isn't much point in going through the hassle of shipping etc.
That said there are some genuinely good bats on lower price points.

Yes. BDM bats are good value for money. I have a top end extreme edition and its a real gun but I would recommend you go for Dynamic Power Super. I have purchased 3 bats from OLS so far and all were excellent but ask for a pic before you buy

What is the finishing like on the Test and X1 pads? I know on some pads the facing will get gouged out by seam marks...
-
They are a great finish, they are the same or very similar to Newbery pads. They look very smart as well.
-
Tempted, would you be able to share some photos of details please?
What's taters ey?

I am sorry, but your well intentioned post is wrong.
My SS gloves, pads etc that I have purchased from Ajit at OLS are all top class TEST STANDARD and about a third of the price you would pay in Oz or the UK.
I have two bats from Ajit at OLS (one an SS LE and the other a SF) and they are both awesome bats BETTER than anything I have seen on the shelves here.
I have another two SS bats purchased directly by Indian friends of mine in sports stores in India.
One is an SS LE purchased by a Panjabi mate of mine in a Patiella sports shop and it is mind blowingly great!
The other is a Gladiator a brother from a CBF forumite purchased for me from Meerut and it is amazing!
In short, there is no difference between the bats SS make for local Indian consumption and the Western (Gora) market.
Only churlish individuals would continue to propagate this tired old lie.
