Hi guys just looking for a quick and easy way to make some good bat wax for my cricket bat repair kit. Thanks

-
Any reason you want to make it and not buy it?

-
Melt beeswax and stir in linseed oil until it's the consistency you want when set.
Made my own but would've been better off just buying it lol
-
Because where I live in Australia the tree local shops don't have any for sale and I don't really want to order some from over east

-
Fair enough mate, might have to have a go simply because I have nothing better to do over the winter!

-
				Make your own, I did.

Bees wax from Heath food shop $12 kg. linseed from bunnings $10. Little bit of turps.

Melt wax 50 g. Add 50 -60 ml oil and 5-10 ml turps before wax sets and stir in. Do not heat the oil. Boiled linseed is no good.

I use old baby food jars.

What advantage is a wax over linseed oil on it's own?

Less mess and impossible to apply too much so over oiling not an issue

Thanks guys will give it a try this weekend and will let you know how I go
