Tetley's Mild or Tones on Draught, served by a busty barmaid on the moors outside Batley.

My God, that was a weekend to remember.

More importantly - up the Pears! Jack Shantry with a rather outrageous performance putting the mighty WCCC back into Div 1, lets hope we actually stay up this time!!!  :D

Massively tainted by Ajmal and his bendy arm. I do hope they stay up and prove it wasn't because of him.

Strong Yorkshire, strong England as the saying goes.

Get the feeling it's going to be a Northants story, straight back down unfortunately. More or less a two man team in Ajmal and Mitchell most of the time.

Good to see Hants nearly definitely up and still a chance of the title  ;).

Shouldn't be too much in my opinion, it's easy to take on a winning side.

Winning side maybe. But in a championship deciding game against there closest rivals!

A wring decision leading to a lose could have cost them the championship.

This was not a win win situation for the lad.

Still feel it was a pretty simple situation to come into compared to a national team but I guess only experience will tell.

Can't wait to be watching D1 cricket now again at the rose bowl presumably,  very deserving team who on paper would look good against any D1 team, that's been a bit under performing in the last couple of seasons.

Especially given Gale had his hand firmly on the tiller. On the radio he said words to the effect of 'I had a word with joe over the declaration ...'

Those thinking Root is ready for the England job should look at the only game Yorkshire managed to lose - or even look like losing - all season, at Lords against Middlesex.  Yes, it was a freak result in that the pitch just died on him, but the lack of ideas when Rodgers got going suggests he still has a way to go to get to the required level.

England vs Yorkshire would be one hell of a match though, assuming we get to keep our England players!
