Introduction
I snapped my Kookaburra Kahuna back in May and have been getting by with team mates bats for the reminder of the season. I am off on tour on Wednesday, and decided in early June that I should really have a bat for the up coming tour. As a member of this forum, I noticed the sponsor, CE bats, and the topic about his custom made bat. I really liked it and emailed Chris about having a bat made, I sent off all my specifications and it only took two weeks form the initial inquiry to receiving the bat.
Specifications
- 2lb 10
- Short Handle
- Slight Bow (traditional)
- 7 Straight Grains
- 50mm Swell depth
- 24mm Edges
Aesthetics
- The stickers are excellent, and are the right balance, not too much not too little and very stylish.
- Very nicely finished, no blemishes on the face of the bat
General
Have yet to use in the nets, but just knocking the ball around it seems to come off the bat nicely with minimal effort. The pickup is excellent for a 2lb 10 bat.
Overall
I would recommend CE bats to anyone, Chris is a very genuine guy who has been ever so helpful over the duration of the bats manufacture. He sent me images of 10 different clefts and offered advice on what specifications the bat should have, which for me was very important. to conclude I am very pleased with this bat, and I'm sure it wont be my last from CE.
