I was at a trade show today (not cricket) and was shown some sunglasses that literally were bulletproof, the lenses having taken shotgun pellets and 22 rounds without any penetrating. They also survived being hit with a hammer and a police riot baton. Apparently you can get them with prescription lenses too. Not too bad style wise either.

Were they Aspex? We stock Aspex and some of their lenses are this resilient. The rep showed me a lens that was shot by load of shotgun pellets and it was heavily peppered but in one piece.
Great prices too :)

Oakleys??
I know they do the shotgun test on their lenses and I can vouch for the fact they're cricket ball proof! Haha

They were Wiley-X not all in the range were bullet proof but I was pretty impressed. Must admit, seeing them made me think about Mark Boucher.

My mate stands up in a pair of my work safety glasses. Mainly due to the boucher incident.
There not stylish though.

Anyone stocking these? Would be interested in a prescription pair.

Oh yes, I remember this company from a previous life. They do a lot with the police and military - based in Denmark, I think?

I think they provide specs for the FBI Paul
