Post by: Cricket_PTY on September 20, 2014, 07:24:57 PM
Hey guys, i am knocking this SS Custom for a mate, it has a factory fitted antiscuff sheet, after 3 hours of knock it sounds great and no seam marks while bouncing a ball on it, its a good sign its done or need some more knocking??

Hit a few throw downs with it to see if seam marks appear.

I love the name of this bat, it's an off the shelf shape so called a custom! Haha

LOL ... mate is on a budget so he bought this bat... actually quite impressed of the ping of it being a 80 USD bat....

That's a decent price for it mate.
I've just bought 2 cheap SS bats and have been impressed so far.
Very decent bats if you're on a budget (and the top end ones don't look too bad either!)

I had a few nets with a mate's SS Waves last year. The Waves is one of the budget SS English willow bats, but I didn't see too much wrong with it at all. Like most SS bats I've seen, it had a low middle which doesn't suit my game. But it responded very well, had a couple of tiny blemishes near the stickers and was excellent value for money - my mate paid around $100-$120 AUD for it.
