The favourite profile thread got me thinking: what's the best bat you've seen in action this year by an oppo. Obviously, it would probably correlate with someone playing a big knock, but one lads's Kippax Colossus was in particular had me hovering over the add to cart button on their website later that evening.
Honourable mentions go to a Puma Stealth 3000 and a 'Chris Gayle' reject Hawk that hit it miles....

Gn 100 was the best
Worst was a fair few Hawks, very over rated around these parts

Best batsmen in our league has a few years old hunts county(it's in green colours) it's a g3 or something. Nothing special, which to me shows bats men zip!
Couple of Pakistani oppos midweek with ca 10000 smashed it miles!
And a few good Charlie french sticks about.
Nothing that made me what to hit the checkout buttons though.

A nice Aldred Sovereign shape scored a lot of runs against us in multiple batsmen's hands in lms this season. We've seen it before. It's a great bat.

Best bat I played against was an Adidas ST Master Blaster, covered in tape all over the hitting area and the grip was riding halfway up the handle.
From watching the batsman he could've probably found the middle of a fence post...

A M&H Distinction.
I have never, ever been hit for 3 x 6s in an over in any form or level of cricket until this bloke came in and hit 69 from 23 balls in a league match! Some of the cleanest hitting i've seen all year. BIG hits.

Hawk pro performance which had previously belonged to a county player it had an amazing sound and hit 6 after 6 with little effort from the guy using it.

Shark g2 or Salix
Both smashed it

A Grade2/3 Pakistani bat with fake Kookaburra stickers. Apparently that guy has played with Kumar Sangakarra and Upul Tharanga (God knows if true). Regardless he was a terrific player.

I think a lot of these answers suggest it very much depends whose hands the bat is in.
By the way, I'm wondering how many bat manufacturers claim to make bats for Chris Gayle?
Early in the season I played against a guy who made a century with a GN Maverick LE. I can remember repeatedly thinking 'what a lovely sounding bat'. Later on, a massive chunk flew off the corner of the bat, rendering it firewood!

Funny you say that. We played against a Nepalese international two seasons ago and he had two fake TONs.
To be fair, they played like two fake TONs. No doubt he can bat a bit but his shots were going nowhere.

Forgot to mention when on tour I had to make up numbers for the other side, a bloke using full H4L gear got a hundred. Think he was using a Hatori (the yellow one?) His shots seemed effortless and it made a lovely sound!

Sounding good for my Hatori that is in the way!

If we discount the Stone game, which was a bat freaks paradise, the two that spring to mind are a H4L G1 that, the stickers showed, came ex-IJC and an SP bat used by an IPL player (which had nothing to do with it - he let one of our lids use it and it absolutely flew)

Probably had to be a neon cricket bat, used against us to chase out total of 150ish in about 10 overs of a 50 over game. Was bought because of its light weight apparently, I would guess around 2.7.
It absolutely flew the guy smashed it around everywhere effortlessly, was very close to me and other teammates heading over to neon crickets website!

B3 Two Stripe. Smacked us all around Wimbledon. Picked jt up afterwards and it was not the prettiest, but a famous pick up.

SS gladiator... effortless sixes by a very young lad playing against us.
