Title: Concave sanding tooling
Post by: JEDi Cricket on September 29, 2014, 07:43:06 PM: We are trying to source some tooling to help us with our concave sanding. We would be greatful if anyone could point us in the right direction.

Have tried to upload a picture of the kind of thing we are looking for but have been unsuccessful...

Any ideas or input would be appreciated!!

I was at your workshop with Gary (your best volunteer salesman) earlier this summer when he was dropping off about 4 of our lads bats for a refurb and turning one into a middling bat.

Post by: patriotscreen on September 30, 2014, 06:18:59 AM: If what you're after is what i'm thinking, you can get a rubber sanding block from b&q and while there is a flat face on one side, the other side is rounded. It's designed that way so you can use it comfortably in your hand but you can flip it and use it as a concave sander.

I use this on my bats and because it is rubber it will flex to fit the contours of the bat. This is what I mean:

You can see the slots in the rubber at each end, there are metal pins that stick out that you use to grip the sandpaper (you will need to cut it down to fit).

you just stick it in the end of your drill. This one is flexible, but you can get stiffer ones.
