Title: See, before buying
Post by: THERUBIN on November 13, 2009, 06:35:13 AM
Have you ever bought an expensive bat (+200£) over the internet, and regreat it when you got it, because it was not really what you thought it was?
I've have played with the Newbery Navarone PLAYER for a year now, but I wanna go a step up, and try to find the best bat possible.
I'm thinking of buying a Newberry Uzi SPS (255£) but i'm afraid of buying the wrong bat.
I live in Denmark, so there arent any bat factory or somting, so i need to buy over the internet..
So what to pick?
Where to buy it?

P.s. I bought my Newbery in sussex when I was over there playing cricket..

Hi
My advice would to be buying your bat through a trusted bat company and not through an online sportstore, the service of someone who actually makes the bats to someone who just sells them along with other sports equipment.
you live in europe so its not that big a deal
try contacting roger at solitare he does a great deal of $100 pounds for a custom grade 1 bat

contact talisman for newbery bats - he can get a really fantastic newbery for less than you say you are willing to pay.

Alternatively you could try out a handmade bat from one of our resident batmakers - SAF, Hell4Leather and Redback will all provide you a custom made bat for less than the £230 price tag you have in mind

Sam - its £ not $ - dont get his hopes up! You can try solitaire, probably a little more hit and miss than the previously mentioned brands.
