I like this. I am not sure how much he will actually contribute on the field, but it could be a good gamble that pays off.
-
if he's bowling around the 90mph and striking the ball cleanly (as he did in the final here) then why not? he's not going to be one of the 'top' fielders but then he never would have been anyway.
He's a legend of the game and the game needs these people playing and attracting people. I'm personally now likely to watch his games, where as I wouldn't have bothered before.

That's my thoughts. I would watch a game with him in over one without.

I think its excellent IF (and it's a big if) he is bowling at a decent speed. T20 finals day he was barely early 80's, would be a shame to see him bowl like that and get pasted all round Australia. Now if he's sending them down at even mid 80's then he's going to be useful. That 5mph will make all the difference I think.

that bowling was too good for englands 'best' batsmen....

What Ian Bell clothing a length ball up in the air? Chances are he thought it was going to be a damn sight faster than it was! Don't think you can really attribute much of that wicket to Flintoff.
Anyway, i hope he does go over there and do really well, he deserves it having been cut down early by that knee injury.
-
If he doesn't break down...
I don't think Flintoff needs to bowl high 80s, if he still has the nous it should go alright.
Good PR for Brisbane - gets them some ticket sales.

Signings like this in the Big Bash are less about performance of said player and more about how much television and spectator crowds they can get. It's a smart move and with KP going to Melbourne should make sure the crowds are on the up. Which in turn is only a good thing for cricket
-
Great to see I think. He is one of my heroes so I'll be rooting for Brisbane Heat and I'll try catch their games when they are televised, certainly get them on the Sky plus.
-
Be great to see Freddie back playing T20 cricket more regularly :D

When does Freddie watch start?

Last of the eng legends :(
Will they play each other? I'm aiming to watch Freddie's games if they are on TV or ca's website. Might watch KP's, what team is he playing for??
-
It's on sky sports :). Quite sure Pietersen plays for Melbourne stars off the top of my head?
Freddie v KP - MCG - 20th December :D. 8am start over here.
