Title: Where to get Genuine G1 Clefts
Post by: EaglesCC on October 26, 2014, 06:53:27 PM
Hi Guys,

Can anyone help me with Genuine G1 Clefts.  I'm looking for some on a regular basis.

I've spoken with Kippax but seemingly they're unable to accommodate my request due to "current demand" [emoji17]

Kippax also has a program where you can buy trees as well but you won't get the clefts for a few years. Did you check this option?

Not particularly, but that's not really an option I'd consider right now given how long it would take etc. Their customer service leaves somewhat to be desired.

So seeing if there are any other options.

You can't buy only g1 mate (generally speaking). They will want you to buy mixed grades at a curtain ratio, which varies dependant on supplier.

Which is fair enough but most have said they don't have the capacity to take on any new business in any form.

You could try Matt from H4L, he is usually quite accommodating with requests like yours.

Thanks, will give Matt a shout

I'd say you could have a word with any of the bat makers in here.

Depending on number of clefts you are wanting, they could help.

Like stated, when you buy from the wholesaler, you generally have to buy the uglier ones but with a bat maker, you might be able to get round that, for a cost.
