Title: Be NVious
Post by: blocka on October 30, 2014, 09:06:40 PM
My new H4L NV

This thing is amazing better looking, feeling and going than any bat I've seen in Australia. I haven't weighed it but I don't think it's the same as my other bats it's either heavier or pick up heavier something I didn't quite like when I first picked it up.  After a couple net sessions (with a few late shots) I can definitely put up with the extra weight for the performance this thing has.
The ball rockets off the middle even when playing defensively.
It's not the prettiest grade 1 I've seen but I like the character it has. The stickers and branded devil just set it off nicely and really suit my tastes.
I definitely think I might have to talk to Paul about getting a net bat as it just feels way too good to use in the nets.
And now for the most important part, the porn

The middle on this bat is best described as everywhere. There's no dead spots I've found like other bats.

Big thanks to Paul at It's Just Cricket and Hell4Leather

I pointed my skipper towards this bat, and one of Paul's hand picked jobbies, because I have only heard good things about it.

He went out and cracked an 18-ball 50 with some of the best sounding shots you have ever heard - and trust me, his timing isn't that good!

Great bat!

I can believe that, first net I had with it I cracked one of the biggest shots any of us have seen off a poor part time spinner. I'm not really a big hitter but it just went

H4l are good bats, don't get the credit they deserve

Haven't seen or tried a bad one before!
Have always rated them very highly...and they haven't done anything to change my mind!

Fasteddie got butchered on here for singing their praises

Fasteddie got butchered not for singing H4L's praises (they are very good bats) but for continually complaining about Salix being overpriced and not worth the money, and picking up on specific users every time they said anything relating to Salix. Nobody had issues with him saying how good H4L were. All of us who have used them completely agreed.

As opposed to when?!

As opposed to the earlier incarnations of H4L.

The business is growing is my point.

Ok my mistake.

Back on topic.

H4l are very good bats, I have used one and it was very very good. Handle a bit thin but easily solved.

What's the difference between the nv, hellfire and hattori. Genuine question, I'm not a bat nerd and don't really take note of profiles unless they are very different like the Tempo. I think the tempo is the best h4l shape

Very very impressed with my NV, it has a good pick up certainly not the best of any bats I own but interms of performance it's up there with bats twice it's price. I have a G2 with a nice even grains the odd mark but it pings like a trampoline and isn't really knocked in.

Very nice looking bat
Glad it's playing as well as it looks
I've only heard good things about h4l, and I can see why looking at that bat

I've had 5 H4L's and they are all outstanding. Only reason I've only got 3 is because team mates picked the other 2 up and refused to give them back  ;)

I've had a Hattori G1, Tempo DVL & have 3 Hellfire Pro's. The tempo had exceptional pick up for 2.14. I used one of the hell fires through winter nets and approx half the season, it is an absolute gun

Hattori has a low middle and the new Tempo has a high middle. Not sure on the others.

Which Tempo profile did you like, new or old one?

I'd guess the old one.

Is there a new tempo shape? I like anything that looks like an old mh distinction

I'm getting one made by a newbatmaker/carpenter and it is the best copy I've seen to date ..... Massive bat

I think the new shape has bigger edges and more concaving than the original shape did mate.

True John, I think the original Tempo shape is an absolute sex-stick. However, having seen a few pic of the NV now from different angles, I'm trying to work out how high the middle is?

Would people say it is a high middle or a mid-middle?

I bet they pick up nice.

I'd say it's more of a mid middle. I really think it's comes off well everywhere from the stickers down. Just some areas better than others
