While I was on holiday at the beginning of October I was looking at the red ink offers quite a lot and decided that they were too good to miss! I contacted John after seeing TBONTBs bat. I asked for something similar in profile but I wanted something with as little concaving as possible. I told John that I'd be willing to sacrifice spine height to get the full profile. I asked for the finished weight to be 2.13-2.14. The bat came weighing 2.13.6 so pretty spot on. The handle is a nice thick oval at the bottom and quite a thick round top which is perfect for me. The bat has 35mm edges and a 62mm spine, makes a lovely sound off the mallet and bouncing a ball. The finishing is as good as the Salix, H4L, Affinity bats that I've got. The pick up is really good, when I first picked it up at work my first thought was that it can't be 2.13-2.14, it feels very well balanced. Anyway enough of my waffle here are the pics

Very personal thing, but one of the things I like most about John's bats, and Paul Aldred's, is that they don't have massive bows (unless you ask for them of course).

I'm very happy with it Dave, the size 5 arrived today. Its a cracking little bat!!
