Excuse my ignorance, but is there a specific area of the site for buying and selling gear?
-
It will be available in another 141 quality posts from you mate, have fun :)
-
Ok, so once you've made 150 posts you get access to some other areas of the forum/site?

You need 150 quality posts. Please also note that any 'for sale' topics need to be approved by Admin - so please don't think that it will automatically be approved.
Out policy is that this is (above all) a cricket forum. There are some very tempting items that come up for sale in that section though, so sometimes people are better off not having access, as it can be damaging to your bank account! :(
If you are wanting to sell gear urgently then you are better off with ebay.

if you just want to sell, go to ebay
-
Thanks Pete. I'm often looking on ebay and just thought there must be an area on this site for people to buy/sell gear.
You're probably right though, I'd be better off not having access as it could hit my bank balance hard!
Is the reason for the 150 quality posts to stop people just using the site for selling?
-
Thanks for your helpful advice Pro. I don't!!!
-
That's part of the reason. :)

We want to encourage a community so the idea is to have quality posts/discussion about all things affecting cricket. Also the for sale section is fraught with idiots historically and people trying to con people. Being around for a while allows people to get to know you and in most cases weed out the fraudsters.
Once you have access the chance for bargains are a plenty considering the equipment obsession the members here have.

150 "Quality post's" all mine are rubbish it could take years
-
I've been a member for 4 years I think and havn't reached 150 yet!
Use the forum as a place to share your love of the game, not as a mini eBay. There's plenty of topics to look at, get involved in.
It's also much better for your wallet...
-
Even without access to the sale section, CBF has been pretty heavy on my wallet.... two bats ordered , one from H4L and another from B3 ... and not to mention, numerous bats to simply try out which i would have never known if not for CBF. ;)
-
I've spent 000's because of this forum - enjoyed every minute of it! :D
-
It took me a year and a half
