Post by: imogzyboy on November 12, 2014, 01:12:26 AM
Hello everyone! After recieving an email from etihad fingers crossed I'm moving to work in Abu Dhabi just waiting to hear from a couple of references and visas I'm wondering if anyone on the forum is from Abu Dhabi or plays cricket in Abu Dhabi as I would be keen to play when work permits me to play :)

Thanks

They showed some local cricket during Pak vs aus series. Quite rough :D. Hot weather, concrete pitches and outfield had no grass. Hope there are better grounds. Good luck with your new job.

Its pretty good in UAE from what I heard from a friend of mine, he even played few games at international venues and ICC Global Cricket Academy. All this sound very fantastic!!

I will try to get websites etc or any other information I can.

Not at ALL! Having played on them in Pakistan, it is fun. Yes, ball does come fast.

I would say you need to acclimatize to the heat.

Someone I play with works out there and loves it. It's not cheap but he has played at the top grounds on a regular basis and the standard is higher then our local league
