has it impacted sales much these lads using the gear?

Photos are ok but I don't like the loose chin strap hanging down. I'd either photoshop it out or re-take the photos.

Cheers for the feedback boys, will see what the pics of the other coloured helmets turn out like as well as the rest of the kit.

Leeroy...yeh get a bit of coverage which leads to sales suprisingly from afar afield as America!!

The commentators were talking about your helmets at one point - they were wondering where the original idea came from!!

Haha yeah something like that althought we have had the cricket magazines knocking on the door again to write an article/feature about the helmet so cant all be bad!

Must be taking it a bit more seriously this time as the worlds number one test batsmen is now wearing it lol

For bats is it more anonymous becuase surely they would just pick out there bats if they were told that it would be reviewed?

The helmet looks fantastic especially in black! Pads look good too not overly keen on the gloves but they are ok its just the colours i think . . .

Indeed everyone has decided to rip of our design from 2005 which we went to an Indian manufacturer with to produce from scratch.

The likes of Grant Elliott @ Buzz cricket tried to use them which we stopped and then Willo Stix have also tried to claim them as their own design for their 2010 range which obviously isn't true either due to the fact they were our original design and have been on the market under the Ayrtek brand. Having spoken to all parties i would hope the use of our IPR has now ceased!

Dan..the helmet is actually green but if you like the black its all good :-)

Talk us through the middle set of pads an amazing design! Are there ergonomic benefits or just an eye catching design?

The pads were designed with the idea of remvoing the more traditional canes from the pads to reduce the weight of them, this was done along with forming a pad that forms to the shape of your legs when strapped on, when tightened the foams curves around your leg to offer a fitted protection.

Not all people like them as with any product, when we orignally designed them and had the county players wearing them at Surrey, Derby etc under the Canterbury brand they seemed very happy with them and wore them in the one day and 4 day game in the different colour schemes.

Na i wasnt saying i didnt like them, as ive never seen or used them i just wanted an insight into the innovative designs yourself and Aero are coming up with. The problem with living in Wales there are no specialist cricket shops so its logistically impossible to get to a cricket store and see all the new gear on the market.

Must admit really love the helmets they look fantastic!

Where abouts in Wales are you Dan? Im sure there are a few shops about but depends if your north or south wales i suppose.

I wasnt suggesting you didnt like them, was just stating the feedback we have had about them from people. Some love them and some dislike them purely becasue of looks. But thats the way it goes with products with are innovative which we accept.

Im in Caernarfon in the north, and play for Menai Bridge which is on the Isle of Anglesey, my 'local' shop is Romida in Rochdale or the one in Liverpool. They are small shops that only really stock a limited amount of off the shelf companies like GN, GM etc and a few Newbery Salix  etc. The North Wales comp has 7 leagues each consisting of roughly 12 teams, therefore there are roughly 84 teams in North Wales and not a single outlet for about 70 miles  . . .an opportunity for someone . . .

Yeah bit difficult to track down stuff that you want to try then by the sound of is Dan....Pete you are correct he has been wearing it since June this year and wears it for batting and keeping in.

Other players that wear them are....

•   Michael Vandort- Sri Lanka
•   Peter McGlashen-New Zealand
•   Rachel Priest-New Zealand Womens Team
•   Jon Lewis-Gloucestershire C.C
•   Steve Kirby-Gloucestershire C.C
•   Tim Murtagh-Middlesex C.C.
•   Paul Nixon-Leicestershire C.C

Hoping to expand this again to get it a bit wider spread but as it was only our 1st season getting one on the wrolds number 1 test batsman is a good start in my book

Yeah a little difficult thank god for the internet! :)

Have you approached other players? I suppose they all have existing contracts and will be easier once they have run out?
Title: Re: A few new pictures of the helmets for new website

As a small start-up company we haven't gone after any players as such as we made the decision not to actively pursue them outright as it meant a outlay on sponsorship before gaining anything back in terms of sales and we all know what happened with Woodworm!!

Players who have them have got wind of the technology and safety benefits and asked for one to be supplied to them so that they can wear them in the worst case scenario that they "wear one". Maybe were naive but the product and its benefits in terms of being safer and having a customisable fit system within it helps to sell itself. Obviously with a marketing push required to spread the word and get the brand out there to people who might not be aware of it.

Yeah sensible approach! Saying that though I would say your helmets will become a main stay alongside albion and masuri, but i definately see the benefits of your approach.

Kind of like let them come to you? I think with anything that is worth having or anything that is a beneficial progression on whats already available on the market it will, like you say, sell itself but not only that will have longevity.
