Title: Swimming in 2015 Gear
Post by: Vitas Cricket on November 24, 2014, 02:25:10 PM
Hi guys,

Apologies if our replies have been a little slow over the past few days. We are literally drowning under 2015 equipment, and not all of it is here yet. I've also been somewhat ill ( something Soulman can testify to as i accompanied him to Hunts last week for something a little special from Tony despite being on my death bed ;) )

I spent the second half of last week just getting the shop from a stage of being full of boxes to the point where it looks like this. (still pretty full of boxes...)

Next step is updating the softs etc on our website, most bats are done already. Hopefully we will be back to normal by the end of the week :)

Could I strongly advise against swimming in cricket gear (which ever Year) It gets wet and drags you too the bottom.

Guys met me tell you there is some absolute stunning bats in Vitas at the moment took all my will power not to spend £000's last week. Some of the TON and Kook bats are stunning as were some of the again bats especially a few of the lower end F18 blade bats. A couple were grainy beyond belief.

Please don't say that, I love the F18 shape and am trying to convince myself not to buy one!  :(

P.S - what's this "something special from Tony" then??  :)

These extremely naughty little boys are just £100, 2'9 on the left, 2'10 on the right. Free delivery as always.

I'll leave Chris to share details of his trip with me to Hunts when he can, he's got himself a mind blowing bat.

That one on the right is bat porn on a budget!
The one on the left isn't half bad either...

I'm just off to lock myself in a darkened room with no bank cards or interweb to avoid doing anything I'll regret when I get my credit card statement lol  :(

Guys, please can we stop bumping this thread?
Every time I see those F18s I can feel my resistance weakening  :(

Both the bats In the photo above are available still. GM bags are this week I believe but will check and confirm as I have a few others wanting to know about their duffles

Hey Jake, what's the 'official' grading of these two cheeky little numbers?

Hey Jake, what's the 'official' grading of these two cheeky little numbers?

The official grading is Blade.

I appreciate this doesn't really answer your question. GN grow their own willow, and grade it themselves, they do not go through the grading process of a willow merchant like JS Wrights.

They do operate a scale which refers to the best percentage of the tree/willow. Ie the top end bats come from a very small percentage, Legend is the 'best 1%' for example. If the grading goes as low as the blade in the catalogue i can tell you the percentage tomorrow.

Yeah, September time.

I'll be going through outstanding pre-orders tomorrow. Most pre-ordered bats have been sorted and dispatched. Just little ones left like thigh pads and gloves. Also WK stuff.

Will get your order sorted asap, will be in touch when stock arrives :)
