Hi Guys,
Im moving to Oval for 3 months and as my club is based in Herts i wont be able to make winter nets.
Is there anyone that nets in London or would like to become net buddies to keep me sane for 3 months ?
Thanks
Dan
-
Hi Dan, I am currently working mid week only in London not too far from you. If there was an opportunity for a mid week net then I would be keen to try and do it. No idea on facilities though.
-
Certainly, I work next to Old Street so more than happy to partake in this
http://www.kiaoval.com/cricket-centres/ (http://www.kiaoval.com/cricket-centres/)
-
this is good to know chaps !
hopefully we can get this rolling.
Also seen that they have adult coaching courses on Friday evenings might have a look into the cost of that and see what the standard of coaching is like.
-
@plumb111 it's £15 a week mate - probably better off getting a few guys together and hiring a net out, from memory they're about £35 an hour - a few of us from work went last year but I can't seem to find the booking confirmation anywhere.
If we could get say 5 people that'd be good
-
I'd be up for that. Work in North London but not too far for me straight down the Northern line.
-
Same here, I am terrible mind!
-
There are a few of us who are relatively local to Oval if something does get set up.
-
We had a good evening there arranged by IJC as I recall.
-
talking of IJC that's one of my first weekend tasks to make sure I get down and visit the store !
-
I'm more than happy to arrange it if people are definitely keen
How do we feel about a pre-Christmas net, say either 15th/16th/17th/18th Dec?
-
i wont have any of my cricket gear up here at that point, so unless anybody has some Loan kit for that net ill have to skip it !
-
You can borrow my stash no problem, got enough of it!
-
Agreed, if it involves forum members, there will be an excess of kit to be admired and borrowed by others :)
-
sound mate... im in then :)
-
I've dropped them an email to get some more details
-
15th or 16th would work for me.
-
cant do the 15th but can do the 16th
-
If you can start it nearer to 7pm than 6pm, then I would be interested in getting up there from Heathrow in time.
-
Okay cool - I'll aim for 7pm on the 16th if possible!
-
16th is good for me, 7pm would be good also.
-
Same here, I am terrible mind!
lol, really made me laugh this.
I'm 95% certain I can do the 16th so it's looking good for me too.
I'm in the same boat re kit though, might need to borrow the non personal essentials! I'm sure I can squeeze my box into my suitcase! I'm even tempted to bring my latest ebay willow to see if it's any good!
-
Go ahead mate, I've got a couple of sticks (and plenty of gloves!) so I'll bring them along
-
lol, really made me laugh this.
When you play for the worst team in the world you cannot really pretend that you are not rubbish!
-
@TBONTB
my team won one game on a Saturday last year.... still 4 of us scored over 400 runs haha blame it on the tail !
-
I will let the figures do the talking :) http://lastmanstands.spawtz.com/SpawtzSkin/Fixtures/TeamProfile.aspx?TeamId=6746 (http://lastmanstands.spawtz.com/SpawtzSkin/Fixtures/TeamProfile.aspx?TeamId=6746)
-
I'm proper poo - but I'm a willing bowler of pies all night and I'm very good at collecting up all the loose balls!
-
Guys i would e interested but can only do the 17th I'm afraid
-

Impressive! Don't suppose you need a ringer for next season? Always fancied playing LMS but never been in a position to really, do you play midweek?
-
Guys i would e interested but can only do the 17th I'm afraid
Still waiting to hear back from them anyway mate, depends what they've got available I guess
-
Impressive! Don't suppose you need a ringer for next season? Always fancied playing LMS but never been in a position to really, do you play midweek?
We always need a ringer! We once had the dad of one of the guys playing on the other team. He was too old to run and just smashed it about against his own son, legend.
We play on a Sunday at the Clapham Common Oval (Artificial pitch with mystery bounce)
-
Decent mate, always up for a game where I can - I'm not planning on playing as often on a Saturday this year so definitely keen to get involved
-
@tim2000s @plumb111 @FattusCattus @farnham_quins_2 @Boondougal @TBONTB @SOULMAN1012
Alright lads, I've heard back from the Oval and they have the following dates available all evening;
15th December, 16th December, 17th December, 18th December
The price is £40 per hour per lane, it needs to be paid on booking so if anyone who is interested could confirm either way that'd be good - one of my mates from the office is going to come down too
-
16th or 17th is good for me !
-
16th works for me. Only thing I would say is that you don't really want more than 6 in a net, otherwise there will be too much hanging around.
-
Yeah good point, 10 mins each batting pretty much
We've got 4 for the 16th so far then, any takers for the other 2 spots?
-
Like I said I can only do 17th. Would also say that 1 hr is not a lot especially if your going to travel to the oval a week before Christmas in rush hour.
-
I'm in for the 16th. I think if we have 6 of us for an hour that should be ok, as long as we get there in time to get changed and setup beforehand. we could always do one again after Christmas?
-
May I crazily suggest 6 people for 2 hours? 2 goes at batting for everyone and still only £14 each?
-
I would happily do 2 hours :)
-
i know my bowling is friendly ...
but taking a battering for an hour and 40 minutes could be tough.
-
I would suggest there might be permitted breaks for people to peruse the collection of bats that might be there :)
I'm gonna bring my H4L Devil, Red Ink custom and GN Powerspot. all are either brand new or barely used...will bring a couple of others that have had actually had some use too
-
I'm in 16th or 17th if there is still space.
-
Have to say I'm no quality all rounder and am definitely more like Graham Gooch in the figure department ( that's his figure today not when he was playing) but happy to try 2 hours, 2 bats each.
-
Sounds like the 16th will be best then, we've got the 6 so I'll get that booked up
Shall we say 2 hours from 7pm, or shall I try 6.30pm first?
-
May I crazily suggest 6 people for 2 hours? 2 goes at batting for everyone and still only £14 each?
I like this idea....
-
So let me get this right;
@farnham_quins_2
@Boondougal
@plumb111
@tim2000s
@FattusCattus
Me
My mate from work
7 people for 2 hours is alright yeah? 5 bowling, 1 batting and 1 padding up
6.30 or 7 pm?
-
Perfect! I'm easy either way.
-
7 might be safest.
-
I agree - I'm at the mercy of the Heathrow public transport system.
-
Okay sorted, I'll get that booked up
It's gunna be like £11.50 each with the 7 of us, not bad for 2 hours at the Oval really!
-
Yep I'm easy. Might even take the afternoon off work so I can bring all my kit...
-
Perfect lads !
See you then !
-
Right, looks like I'm free - 7pm on the 16th? Tim, will you bring the Dynadrive?
Do you want us to PAYPAL you in advance?
How will we recognise each other - shall we all wear top-hats?
-
Haha, recognise each other? There will be some people at the net with no gear... Which is odd... Then there will be others that have 10 bats with them, which is also odd for most places except CBF!
Seriously though.... Top hats could be the way to go.
-

I will. Any requests? I'm not bringing everything!
-
Paypal would be easier to be fair, if you could send it through to neoncricket@outlook.com that'd be appreciated.
-
I will. Any requests? I'm not bringing everything!
Something lighter for normal-sized people - you great Gallah!
Have you got anything like that?
-
Something lighter for normal-sized people - you great Gallah!
Have you got anything like that?
All my bats are for normal sized people... Just don't have any for short arses! I think the lightest I have is about 2lb 8oz. That will come along with me (the Nemesis Players I got for a song off eBay) as I want to give it a good go.
Just need to knock in one of the others as well.
-
@farnham_quins_2
@Boondougal
@plumb111
@tim2000s
@FattusCattus
Hate to be useless but I've now got to work that evening so not gunna be able to do it - if you still wanna go ahead yourselves I can send you the details of who to call to book a net though - apologies! Definitely keen to sort a few in Jan/Feb still
-
As this is currently a week off, do we still have enough participants. I will go ahead and book it if everyone comes back with an "Aye". There are only five of us without @neoncricket and his mate.
@farnham_quins_2
@Boondougal
@plumb111
@FattusCattus
-
I'm keen - let me know if the others are too, and I'll ping you over some money.
-
The person to call is Katherine on 0207 820 5739
Sorry lads, will definitely be along for the next one!
-
I was going to volunteer myself as a 1st reserve, but now you've had dropouts I'll happily make up the numbers if I can manouvre my wheelie on the train up from New Malden :-[. Let me know how you'd want paying.
-
Yep I'm still in. Looks like felix has made the team also. That puts us at 6. Get booking!
-
Perhaps we could all net in our Christmas Onesises?
-
Yes I'm still keen.
-
One or two hours?
-
Perhaps we could all net in our Christmas Onesises?
Just because I "like", doesn't mean I think this is a good idea... not even sure I should publicly admit to owning a onesie ;)
-
One or two hours?
I'll vote for 2 but happy either way
-
2 please Tim - let's get sweaty!
-
I think we said 2 before. I'm good to go 2 hours.
-
Haven't been able to get through to book today. Will have to try again tomorrow.
-
Hi Tim, hope you know something I don't but according to the Kia Oval website, the Ken Barrington centre is only open at weekends between october and april :(
EDIT: Ah... But then neoncricket did say he'd had a reply saying it was available so goes to show you can't believe everything you read on the interweb

Come on Plumbers - pull yer finger out!
What's nearest tube - or will people walk up from Vauxhall?
-
Nearest tube... hoping its Oval or i have big issues!
In terms of kit with neon no longer coming is it still ok for those of us moonlighting midweek in the capital to borrow a stick to swing and miss with?
-
I'll be getting the train up from New Malden and dragging my wheelie from vauxhall... Awkward. Looking covetously at that new stock of ton duffles but can't justify it!
-
I've got a bat and some gloves you can use. I'm sure we can rustle up pads.
-
Vauxhall for the train, oval for the northern line. We'll have enough kit in sure. It is a forum meet after all!
-
sorry guys, been mad busy at work will get this paid now....
as long as the option of a bit of kit lending is still there !
-
all done :)
-
Vauxhall for the train, oval for the northern line. We'll have enough kit in sure. It is a forum meet after all!
Are you going to be taking you net kit, wet weather kit and match kit or just your spare kit Tim?
-

Can we stipulate you must use your £100 challenge kit?? :D
-
I'll be taking my touring and pub game kits Buzz!
-

I am happy to bring it. I wouldn't be at all concerned about wearing it!
-
just a warning, my bowling is friendly at best !!
-
just a warning, my bowling is friendly at best !!
Dare I ask how you took 6/22 then? ???
-
Do we have to wear proper whites at the oval, or can we wear any gear?
-
Any gear. Within reason...
-
I'm already packed - how bad is that?
-
Desperate for some action there?
-
Oh yeah baby!!!
-
I've been loading up my all new Ton duffle... Just need to decide which bats to bring alongside the Dynadrive....
Will probably be the powerbow copy from B3 and the hunts as the red ink hasn't touched a mallet yet...

Well just as well I didn't get one too that would have been such a faux pas :)

Can you imagine?

Can you imagine?
I'll be curious to see what it's like properly loaded alongside my GN. I think the Ton might be the best choice for the real kit badger, a title I don't quite qualify for :)
-

Just wait till you've joined fellow forumites at the oval, picked up various bats (brands) and realised for no reason you really need half a dozen bats! :D
-
In amongst whatever fabulous kit you're bringing, have any of you got any decent net balls? I've got a couple but they're pretty awful...
-

Same here. I'll be bringing one ball but its certainly not in its first, second or even third flush of life.
-
Tim has Balls!
-
Plenty of Balls...
-
my 6-22 was back when I was playing a lot of youth cricket and predominantly as a bowler... was a sunday league game too on a minefield and I no longer bowl !
its straight ish !
what end of the ground is the cricket school does anyone know ?
-
It's right in the middle. You'll have to go to the main gate at the pavilion end to get in.
-
Thanks Tim :)
-
I hope you are all ready for this evening. My kit is sitting here at work. These Ton bags are pretty big, I have to admit, with everything I have in it. It still needs the waist belt to support it properly though...
I have the following bats with me for people to have a use of...
Dynadrive Custom LE Long Blade
B3 Powerbow Shape bespoke Long Blade butterfly
Hunts County Turbo Revolution Long Blade butterfly
GN Nemesis Players
-
Mmm going to be like a kid in a sweet shop :) Must admit I was too embarassed to bring my fire engine red GN1000 duffle into the office - some people just don't get it!
-

My colleagues are used to it. Some of th emsaller members of my team have offered to see how far I can carry them in the Ton...
-
If anybody drops out last minute let me know:)
-
I start a new job in Sarf London in the New Year so I'd like to tag along in the future if this becomes a regular thing.
-
If anyone fancies a pint after at the kennington im going to watch the remainder of the chelsea match in there after !

Cricketing leg-ends!
-
Very much looking forward to the fattus post net assessment of everyone technique!
-
It's coming tonight dudes - I shall critique you all!
Hopefully Tim will get up the 1 or 2 pics he took last night with his long handle, long blade camera.
-
Ok, have a few minutes without feminine interference, so let me introduce you to a few more of our forum chums -
Plumb111
Kit: None
Facial Hair: Plenty, wispy and of indeterminate colour
Bowling: Right arm over dobblers, rapidly descending to a version of 'off-spin'
Batting: Right hand 'get on with it'
A solid, hunky type of fellow, in the mould of a young farmer. With beetling brows and a taciturn manner he seems quite imposing when you first meet him, but this impression is belied by a cheery personality.
Attempted to bowl some seam up dobbers at the start, but as the evening progressed it seemed to become right arm round offies, which were very pleasing to the batsmen.
With the bat he seems predominately an off-side player who likes to drive straight(ish) and go over the top, gets in a bit of a tangle off his legs though. Strangely susceptible to a left-arm bender though!
Felix:
Kit: Very nice Aldred Butterfly, Puma Pads and a GN Duffle
Facial Hair: A full, lustrous, dark beard
Bowling: Left arm over drifters, delivered with a wrist like a cocked medieval siege engine
Batting: Right hand steady opener
A tall, slender reed of a man, with aforementioned beard and closely cropped salt and pepper hair, he resembled Gandalf in his early years. Softly spoken and calm, he puts one at ease immediately - which made me suspicious that he was buttering me up prior to assaulting my bowling.
He batted very steadily, seeming to be able to play shots to both sides of the wicket, and most shots going along the ground like an opener should (yawn!!) - has a disturbing compulsion to wander across his stumps and be LBW. The bowling was a surprise though, he charges up to the wicket like a fat child with a fiver chasing an Ice-Cream van and unleashes his left-arm drifters at what he tells us is a venomous pace. It is a shame we did not have the speed gun turned on!
-
I'm not sure what to say! Your description of my run up is frighteningly vivid - i saw myself bowling on video once and I scared myself... I don't remember bragging about my pace and don't know if there's a speedgun that registers minus values :-[
-
Farnham Quins
Kit: Powerspot, H4L Devil, some very tasty Blank Bats Softs
Facial Hair: Nice dash of stubble to compliment his 'Fro
Bowling: Right arm over droppers with the occasional cheeky yorker thrown in
Batting: Right hand 'give it some room son'
Well at first I thought some 'yoof' in a fluorescent football shirt had broken in and was going to rob us all, but in fact it was the marvellously young and fresh-faced 'Quinny' in his England ODI shirt. He's a hairy little bugger and a slip of a lad, but with a charming smile and impeccable manners - I wanted to take him home to meet my mum.
I think it's fair to say his first batting stint was a little tentative, with a tendency to hang his bottom over leg stump, but as the evening went on he certainly gave the ones in his zone a hearty thump. His bowling is deceptive, it carries no recordable pace, but it is infuriatingly straight on the stumps - could he be the mystery death-bowler?
Boondougle:
Kit: A pair of Fusion gloves and what I suspect was a bejewelled box which he kept hidden in a little satin bag.
Facial Hair: A light dusting of stubble
Bowling: Right arm tidy off-spin
Batting: Right hand aggressive slasher
Short, stocky, slightly greying with a beaming smile and horn-rimmed specs, he looked like a wise old uncle ready to dispense advice and a cuff round the ear. Lovely beaming smile and great enthusiasm for both netting and kit, he seemed like a super chap - although I do suspect that sadly, he may be from the North!
Yes - he's one of 'those' off-spinners!!! Lovely loop, flight and dip and he drops it on that annoying spot that means you would struggle to moo him (although many tried!). Despite the lack of extravagant turn he bagged a few bunnies, although he may have to work on his variety as announcing loudly "I shall try the leggie now" before he bowls it, is not really going to work!
An aggressive batsman with a low, squatting stance, he puts one in mind of a small tank. He likes the pull and cut, and isn't afraid to drive on the up too. Don't bowl him a bad ball - his face positively lights up!!!
-
Tim, Timmy, Timothy
Kit: Plenty - might as well have brought a Sherpa
Facial Hair: Clean-shaven schoolboy complexion
Bowling: Right arm nippy cutters and swingers
Batting: Right hand swing at everything
Much has already been said and seen of Tim, so there is little to add. He's very tall, clean shaven and well turned-out, so he looks like an overgrown Head-Boy. He has a deep, resonant voice, so is obviously the thinking woman's Barry White. Everytime he took a wicket I expected him to break into "My first, my last, my everythang".
He was naughty last night, he kept bowling his in-cutters and swingers on a very tight line, which really isn't fair on any of us sloggers - however it was the batting that caught the eye. He swung at everything, frequently going over the top, but also peppering the roof of the nets too. He uses long bladed bats, so with one of those, his 7ft 2 frame and his long monkey arms, it's like someone coming at you with a garden hoe. A very irresponsible man, and I hope no children were watching! He had a really nice Hunts County Butterfly and his B3 went off like a gunshot too.
-
I believe Tim may have taken a couple of photos of last night, so if someone asks him nicely, he may put them up.

Look at that!! High front elbow, head over the ball, straight blade, well-balanced as I crash it through the covers.
Watch and learn younglings, watch and learn :D

Is anyone else aching from all that bowling..?

Told you ;) Well worth it! Seems to stop Delayed onset muscle soreness.

Everything is hurting - I am hobbling around like a rusty Tin-Man!

Never realised i looked so camp in my follow through!
-
So we definitely need a quick review of the Cat
FattucusCattacus
Kit: All the gear, no..... brand loyalty. A nice BB duffle, a horrible sounding polaris bat (that did seem to ping a bit) and dubious unstickered fair of reputed salix origin! It did however look a nice stick.
Facial Hair: very hard to know where the face hair and head hair stopped / started
Bowling: Very deceptive. i would call him the puffer fish. Plenty to feed off but get it a bit wrong and your dead.
Batting: Test standard between deliveries - those practice swings really did look world class
As you can see from the pictures Mr Cat really is a formidable figure. Tall, incredibly light on his feet and of course as strong as on ox from the kit bag lifting workout. :-)
He was very shy from the off and it certainly took him a while to come out of skin!!! cough.
At this point i have to say his bowling was one of great mistry. No clue int he run up or the action but all those years of experience (and hours of mr Sheen) could persuade that ball to not only swing, but swing very late. Not without the odd generous one thrown in but a tricky character non the less.
The confidence with the ball was matched with confidence with the bat - both tasks seemed to involve a lot of swinging.
No doubt many a delivery was despatched to the boundary and when there is a job to be done to bring the team home with that final 30 from the last few overs i'm sure any team would feel confident sending in the Cat!
-
Everything is hurting - I am hobbling around like a rusty Tin-Man!
Yep.. Father christmas has delivered a pain present here too... Mind you Squash last night did not help.
-
Sounds a great night and some excellent pen pictures, especially of Tim's 'the ball that follows you everywhere' deliveries, and the Fattus speciality 'right, this ones going - on no it's not - sugar! (or words to that effect)'. :D
-
Would there be an appetite for another session in the new year?
-
Count me in this time for sure - nothing going on work wise in Jan so I'll be there
-
Yup - I'm in!
-
im up for it :)
-
I'd be up for another net
-
Can you wear a different colour this time?
-
Can you wear a different colour this time?
Haha I don't see why not. I don't normally take requests, but might be open to them this time ;)
-
Any other Southern Pansies want to have a go at my benders and join us for netting fun in January?
Contact Neon - he's volunteered to organise :)

Haha "volunteered" ;)
-
Date dependent but sounds good.
-
Depending on the date I'm willing to wave my wood (fnarr, fnarr) ;)
-
Get in there Trypeus - another victim to probe with my wobblers!!!!!
-
Date dependent I could be in guys
-
Damn been out all day so missed all the action :(. I'd be interested tho might depend on the date
-
Depending on how new job is going but very interested to be at the next one.
-
Hi Guys,
Im moving to Oval for 3 months and as my club is based in Herts i wont be able to make winter nets.
Is there anyone that nets in London or would like to become net buddies to keep me sane for 3 months ?
Thanks
Dan
You will be literally just around the corner from our new store then! :) I do net at the oval sometimes, so would be interested to hear what is going on with nets: who and when etc. If a group are going down I would like to be informed because I might want to tag along, time permitting.
-
Okay then lads, when's the best date for everyone? How about sometime next week?
-
Yup - Wednesdays don't work for me I'm afraid. Possibly people may be more 'in the mood' on a Thurs / Fri night?
-
Thurs/Fri would suit me best
-
Doesn't bother me which day to be honest - show of hands for either of the following dates?
Thurs 8th
Fri 9th
Thurs 15th
Fri 16th
-
Either Thursday for me is best.
-
Sorry but I think I'm going to have to duck out this time
-
Boo... Thursday and Friday is no good to a part time Londoner! ..... enjoy!
-
I would be interested in 15th or 16th - is anyone else available for these?
-
15th? I'd be up for that
-
15th is good for me.
-
Is a net happening?
If anyone wants to do Wednesday and there is availability somewhere then I would be keen?
Alternatively if the net is on for the 15th and there is space I'm debating staying down in London another night.
-
So far not enough interest I think Doogie.
-
Come on people - 15th Jan (next Thurs)
Surely we have some more takers!?!
-
I am a certain maybe! Ill have to check with the MRS.....
-
im moving in on the 18th so available after that !
-
Could do the 21st/22nd instead if that suits people better?
-
Yup, I would be up for those dates - would the 21st / 22nd give people enough time to pull their fingers out? :)
-
Wed the 21st is great for me!
-
Neon... If you can do wed the 14th and we can book something then I'd be up for it.
-
Bollox! Sorry men - I can't do 21st!
-
I can do the 15th confirmed.
-
I've sent them an email about the 15th - if I read correctly it would be:
Me
@FattusCattus
@TBONTB
@DiscoStu
Anyone else? Could you boys do the 14th to accommodate @Boondougal?
-
No can do 14th - 15th only for me please.
I think we would need one more to make it work. I'll ask Tim.
-
I am unable to do 14th I am in Hanger Lane that day :( What a hole
-
Ouch - feel for you mate
Okay well hopefully the 15th will be a goer
-
I'd be fine with the 14th. The week after that (which some have mentioned) is a bit more problematic.
-
Chaps, I could well make an appearance at one of these net sojourns. (But not this week.)
Like Felix, I too am a New Maldenite, but I'd be coming in by train from Battersea via Clapham Junction.
But enough transport ramblings.
Any start time after about 7.15 would be manageable for me.
Would need to borrow a bat and a pair of mums & dads though. (No borrowing of box necessary.)
Loving the CBF member character portraits, by the way!
-
Sadly I think I will be at sea on the 15th... (as opposed to all at sea facing fattus...)
-
Is this going to go ahead? Need to book time off with the wife.
-
Doesn't appear to be mate - shall we try again for next week?
-
The 22nd is good for me. Shame about this week. Does anyone else want a net this Thursday?
-
I will be up for another net soonish. Currently playing at flat hunting, so evenings are pretty busy right now. Should be available in a few weeks.
-
if we can confirm that a net is available today then i would stay in london another night and be available this thursday.
@Neon - did you email them?
-
I did but haven't had a reply mate - chased them up this morning but nothing yet.
Could you do the 22nd?
-
I did but haven't had a reply mate - chased them up this morning but nothing yet.
Could you do the 22nd?
possibly. I normally head home on a Thursday as my wife often needs me to pick the kids up or drop they off on Thursday night / fri morning.
This week is ok but i will have to check with her for next week.
I'll put my trainers in my bag 9and my box) If you get confirmation of availability then i'll play if there is enough of us... just might need to borrow some gear - again.
If it doesn't happen then its not a issue.
-
Next week not really an option for me. I have my trainers gloves and box with me so anyone wanting a bash this week let me know. Guessing availability of the net will also be an issue now though.
-
I can still do Thursday if enough people can be found etc.
-
I can too. What's the minimum number we need for a 1 or 2 hour session?
-
Minimum of 5. 6 worked best as some bowlers got a bit tired in the second hour - unless you people are young, lithe Greyhounds?
I could still make Thurs if someone wished to take up the baton.
-
I tried to call them this morning but no Answer!
-
In a meeting now... Can someone else try again?
-
Just tried but no answer - I'm going to be out until about 5ish now if we could keep trying? (Someone will get through I'm sure!)
-
Just got an email from them, they can only do 8-10 pm on Thursday - how does this sound lads?
Could someone call up if possible, I won't be able to ring this afternoon - 0207 8205739
-
Just out of my meeting.... Anyone call?
-
Alright chaps, I was in back to back lectures yesterday. I assume it is not happening? If not what about sometime next week?
-
Okay - let's try and see what can happen next week.
I could do Tues, Thurs of Fri if anyone's interested?
-
[emoji20] to this week.
Tues only for me next week.
-
Any day except Monday and Wednesday is fine with me next week
-
Monday or Thursday are best for me
-
Ok I'm giving this one more throw of the dice for this week as I now am staying in London Thursday night. If by some magical spell I can book an hour at 8 tomorrow and confirm by 1/2pm would you guys still be in or is it too late?
@neoncricket
@TBONTB
@DiscoStu
That would make 4 which is 15 mins batting each. It would mean for 5 of that only 2 bowling though.
@fattuscattus - wasn't sure if you fancied this week or not.
-
I could do it but would need to borrow a bat.
-
I can bring any spare bats if needed?
-
Too late notice for me now by the time I've got back to mine and got kit/clothes etc - sorry lads
Definitely keen for next week if someone can sort it, work has decided to actually be busy today for some reason haha!
-
@TBONTB, @DiscoStu
No one ever answers the phone at that place. It's amazing they get any bookings at all.
2 was my deadline and as yet I booked. Shall I keep trying. 3 of us would make it a tough session but fun. Have to say I'm equipment less though. Gloves and box only. Let me know your what you think.
-
Only just seen the message. Probably a bit too late in the day to get stuff sorted. We'll have plenty more chances over the next few months.
-
Yep, disaster this time. There is always next.
-
Any plans for the next one? Next week so we all have a bit of a run up to it and can arrange night off/work commitments etc.?
