My new Hell4Leather gear should be arriving next week but Matt sent me some teaser shots of the bat before he packed it up for delivery.........

That looks like it could be a right chunky monkey. Class
-
It you went for the middle cleft looks class mate, love that even heartwood on RH outside edge
-
I actually went for the left hand cleft in the end after about 24hrs deliberation! It's just arrived and it's massive: 45mm edges and 65mm spine with no concaving!!!

What weight is it? I got the Black Friday nv monster and its fairly big. I think its around 40mm edges and a 63mm spine for 2.12, but its got a slight amount of concaving.
-
I haven't weighed it yet but I'd asked for it to be around 3lb I'll get some pics up tonight hopefully, got matching softs and their stand up bag too (can't wait to get matching kit grief next season haha!)

I'm yet to get any grief for matching kit, and I've been expecting it for the last 5 years!
-
No wonder its so big if its 3lb!! What grade and profile is it, or is it a custom shape?
-
Well I'm a big lad haha! It's the Hellfire Monster shape but with an almost domed spine profile, wishing I'd brought my mallet to work now to see how it pings!
-
Took some quick pics, not the prettiest bat I've ever seen by a long shot but seems nice and responsive off the mallet

Very nice!! That is huge, he probably only needed to sand the cleft!
-
I honestly can't fatham How someone can use a 3 pound bat. Looks a beaut though mate congrats
-
Well I must admit, 3lb bats don't exactly lend themselves to touch play! But I've been too busy the past couple of years for weekend cricket so been playing a lot of midweek T20's and 3lb bats are good fun against pub teams haha!
-
Love this full profile, what grade is this?
-
It's a Grade 1, few blemishes to be fair but the grains are pretty straight and even.
-
Got Paul at IJC to knock this bat in and he kindly gave it a quick video review, check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xf_FUzWLF9A (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xf_FUzWLF9A)

One big middle!!!!!!
-
It's crazy, the whole thing is middle, I've never seen anything like it, really is a testament to Matt's abilities as a bat maker!
-
I've had a 3lb gray nicks that didn't sound anywhere near as good as that.
The actual middle of the bat sounded unreal
It looks a really nice cleft, none of this dried within an ounce of its life crap
-
Yeah, it's a serious piece of wood haha, everyone at our club was so impressed that I actually ordered something slightly more sensible for our opening bat from Matt, got a gorgeous NV in the Devil grade!
