I have recently sorted all my kit for next season. I've gone with Salix as a long term lover of the brand. I'm not at all disappounted in what I have recieved but, I am thinking that I may have made a mistake overlooking hell4leather and I'm seriously considering selling all of it before I use it to keep its value and got with all h4l kit. What're peoples thoughts on this?
I think I've decided Id like to do get all h4l but do people think it would be far to much of a faff about to sell all my pads and gloves and brand new bat and then buy new stuff?
Help needed please

Why not just buy the H4L bat, see if you prefer it to the Salix one? If so, sell your Salix gear and get your H4L kit. If you prefer the Salix, I'm sure you'll find plenty of takers on here for the H4L bat...

I think you are thinking too much in to it, unless you don't like your Salix gear.
I'd have a look at the kit if you can, before making any decisions.

I have an H4L bat and Salix pads and gloves. I tried on the H4L pads but found that they didn't fit as well as my Salix and I found the gloves slightly smaller than my O/S Salix...so I stuck with Salix softs and an H4L bat. I'd rather be comfortable in my kit than worry about having all one brand.

Can you get to somewhere that stocks it, as Pete says try it on and see if you like the fit. If you sell your Salix to try H4L and they dont feel right you'll be forever chopping and changing kit which ends up being pretty expensive in the long run

Don't worry about matching kit pal. Concentrate on scoring runs not looking good.

Cheers lads,
I do really like h4l. But I think maybe I need to just stick with what I'm happy with. Better to be safe than sorry

I love the Salix softs, think that they are superb quality and take some beating. Bats however i'd take a H4L without question, not saying Salix are bad, i've got a HH Super Power, Pod Players and G1 Torque and they are all great bats but for me the performance of the 5 h4l's ive had has been better.

But how can you score runs without fully matching kit, including socks and underwear?? ??? :-[

Matching kit doesn't help me score runs, backing my ability does. I'd just like to look good whilst I do score runs

Its scientific fact pros are better because they have matching kit and £500 bats. :)

I bought matching m&h gear in last years sale..... And replaced it twice before nets started, as it was a tad heavy and bulky for me.
Although the gloves are in use, they pads have ended up in the clubs kit bag, as they moved between 5 people, all thinking the same. Far too heavy!

Shame on you! Take a good, hard look at yourself young man!
It is obvious that lashings of matching, over-priced kit is what defines the members of this forum!

This is one thing that I feel manufacturers need to be cognizant of which is the weight of the leg guards or pads. Some of them are just too heavy. I have the most unmatched kit in the world because I don't like running in heavy pads. One thing I'm looking into is getting colored arrow P1 leg guards to match my kit.

Clearly you should just buy a complete set of H4L gear, in addition to the Salix stuff, and alternate between the two over the course of the season :)

And then sell it on here at a massive loss to give members a bargain, they are the rules aren't they?

And they bat on roads with outfields like glass. They'll never know the frustration of hitting your Sunday best, admiring it fly to the boundary only to pull up an inch short and you barely scrambling a single. Don't know they're born
