Title: Grade 2 or Butterfly1
Post by: Drupy01 on December 13, 2014, 06:41:21 PM
Hi guys, just a quick thread on your thoughts on Grade2 and Butterfly1 clefts.

I'm looking to get another Aldred bat in a heavier weight so I'm a bit stuck on what to go for.

Would you go Grade 2 or a Butterfly1 supreme bat?

What are your thoughts.

Cheers

The butterfly1's are very good. I'm sure he was doing a deal on G2 clefts not long ago, so it may be worth checking with him as it good work out a better deal. I've had a standard butterfly, butterfly1 and a G3 off of Paul and they've all been crackers, so I wouldn't stress too much over which grade to go for as he always seems to get the best out of each cleft. Ultimately it depends what your budget is.

Thanks for your comments guys, I need to have a look at the my budget and go from there.
I'm looking to get the pads and gloves as well so I need to work out how much it will all add up to.

I would  buy cheaper pads and gloves and put all money  towards the bat. Go G1 if you  can.

I know what you mean but I really want the full kit, I've always played with different brand bats, gloves and pads and now I want the full Aldred kit. Looks classy as well.

Many people on here want/use matching gear. They can get stick from the opposition.
I agree, you can get great gloves for 30 quid and pads the same too. unless you play at a high level you really don't need great protection and they don't affect your success. with a grade 1 bat you can always admire its beauty.

I was in the same dilemma mate and ended up going for the G2 Xmas offer under Paul's guidance.  Its lovely and I will get a review up once I start netting in the new year.

Shame mate. Pic of bat is on there though.  Paul is very accommodating, perhaps message him for advice?

I think I might have. I'm hoping I can sell my H4L bat so I can buy the full kit or maybe G1 bat again.
