So since the end of the season I've bought one or two bats. I've been meaning to put them up but haven't had time until now. So here they are:

The Omega is a Custom LE that Jake got sorted for me on his Robertsbridge visit weighs in at 2.14.5 with an extra chevron grip. It's got 35mm edges and a 62mm spine. 14-15 grains, semi oval handle, great pick up. It sounds nice lower down and a bit tinny near the middle, going to give it plenty of net time to help break it in. The bat is very well finished considering all the little ridges.

I saw the 15 or 20% off offer that BC had on Facebook and decided to go for a Shadow. It weighs 3.0 with a second thick spiral, was 2.13.5 without. 39mm edges, 60mm spine, oval handle. The pick up isn't bad, has 7 grains but the Ping is exceptional. It literally rebounds very well everywhere under the stickers. The finish is good overall.

I was speaking to Marcus about the Polaris pre orders and mentioned that I quite fancied a big Carbine, this is what he made.
It's 3.0 with a heavy second grip, 2.14 without. It's got 35mm edges 61mm spine. 10 grains and a thick oval handle which feels perfect. Balance is nice for a heavy bat, the performance is very good over a decent area of the bat. The finish is some of the best you will see.

This is one of the ten Polaris pre orders. I played against someone who I'd played with 17 years ago. He had an M&H Puma which I loved the shape of so when Affinity released the photos of the Polaris I thought I'd better get one. It weighs 2.15 with a ripple and a hybrid grip. 21mm edges, 60mm spine. It has a thick oval handle and 8 grains. The pick up is the most surprising thing about the profile, it picks up well. I'm not going to say its a feather but for the amount of wood low down it is good. The middle is really big but it pings really well around 5 inches from the toe. Finish as the Carbine is exceptional.

The H4L is the NV Grade 2 that was a Black Friday deal. Weighs 2.14 with a second grip (2.12 without) it's really big has 42mm edges and a 62mm spine. Round handle, 7 grains. It's slightly harder than my other h4ls but it isn't knocked in yet. The finishing is really good. The pick up is neutral, not bottom heavy but not light either. I think it is great value for 130 posted.

I'm waiting for the T20 bat from Red Ink sale in a Joker copy and an Amplus. Will post when they arrive.

Some beautiful bats here. I like the Black Cat in particular. Can't help but think the GN doesn't belong. Sorry.
-
No need to be sorry, I can see what you mean. When I was younger I had a few gn's so it's sort of a guilty pleasure! If I get chance with the wife out I'll get the full collection out and upload some pics. Out of them there are only the omega and a custom oblivion that are from the big makers

Very nice mate very nice, would have to agree I'm a big fan of the BC. I did mull over the T20 narrow blade John had in his for sale section so I'm interested to see what it turned out like.
-
John was posting it on Thursday I think so should get it tomorrow. I'll try to post pics tomorrow night

Cracking bats. Carbine is my favourite.
Have to admit. The gray nics does look out of place. Stickers look cheap compared and the blade does not look like an le.
Shame as I as gonna get an omega. But I may put my money elsewhere now.
-
The carbine is a lovely bat, probably be my match bat next year. The Omega feels nice in the hands but doesn't have the instant performance of the Affinity's or BC.
-
How many bats do you need??!!
-
You can never have too many bats. You need an excuse every time you get a duck
-
Prob agree on looks gn doesn't have wow factor of the others but I am sure its a cracker
-
Nice collection
Carbine looks a weapon, especially at that weight!
But I do like the look of the Polaris
-
That is a great collection. I was also tempted by the black cat offer but have resisted so far.
Enjoy you new bats.

Like the Black Cat and actually think the GN side profile is nice if you ignore the stickers..
Also, randomly enough you have the same flooring, cabinet colour and appliances as me in your kitchen. Obviously have taste.
