Title: It's THAT time of year with THAT obsession
Post by: trypewriter on December 23, 2014, 09:09:23 AM
Most of your presents are cricket related

Most of the ones YOU buy for other people are cricket related

On your last minute shop you have to nip into Sports Direct - just in case...

You find yourself admiring the grains on a wooden toy

You can't resist tapping up the toy to check the 'ping'

You have a cricket ball bauble on your tree

You receive car care, shoe care, male grooming presents and wonder if any of them can be used to doctor your 'net' ball

You wonder if that yule log that's destined for the fireplace might just have a cleft in it.

Feel free to add to the list, and a Merry Christmas to all!  ;)

Well seeing as I'm married and it's my birthday on the 26th I'm hoping for good honest sex instead of "batting in the nets"

Every tube of wrapping paper is picked up and nonchalantly cover driven and flicked through mid wicket.

I spent an hour walking around the shops as our lass picked presents playing drives and square cuts with a roll off wrapping paper other day....
Then didn't buy the paper.

Not sure I'm gonna get anything Xmas related. Gutted.

Was the paper delaminated by the time you finished?

You obviously haven't been married for long.

Got 50 in edges and mishits, dropped a fair few times too.....

Think the roll I selected wasn't my ideal weight, and middle position all wrong

Not xmas related, but when I worked in homebase as a student, when I got bored I'd go to the wallpaper aisle and pretend to tidy. Really I'd be practicing shots with rolls of wallpaper. Sometimes I'd get some throw downs with balls of string....

I worked with a guy who was well old enough to know better who used to practice his run up and delivery (without a ball) down the corridors at work...

She only gets half if there's 2 fivers in it, the rules in our house is the opener gets the majority share of the split
