This is a first for me.........
I got through the post a lovely bat but it has delaminated on the face.
I love the bat, it has 37mm edges and weighs 2lb 9oz on my scales, with 9 blemish free grains.
The delamination is around 2cm high and 1cm wide, but its right where the middle is! I was wondering if anyone has had an experience with using a delaminated bats? Does it matter or should I get it repaired?

This might sound stupid but what is a delaminated bat?
-
Its where there is an internal crack, causing the bat to sound and feel hollow in the middle or the place where it is delaminated.
-
as you may remember the bat i sent to you to be refurbed had a similar problem, i hit my first ton the week after with the same bat. makes no difference just sounds different i think....

Yeah it still pings really nicely, and I dont really want to send it back to get it repaired, because it has the old style v389 stickers on and its looking really good. Although, if i play with it for a season, then the crack could get worse!! This is the dilemma :P

true, what i did mate is found myself another fairly decent and similar bat to use in the nets and friendlies etc. thay way i save my best bat for league/cup games....
-
how do you know if its got an internal crack?
-
because the bat will sound hollow when you hit in the middle.
