Its that time of year when I start to get the itch more than ever, the previous seasons frustrations are fading into the past and are being replaced with excitement about what is to come.
With another little Hirst due early in the new year, I have no desire to buy a new bat and to be honest the Newbery I currently have is by far the best bat I have ever owned, so I'm looking to renew rather than replace.
I've emailed Newbery about doing a refurb but I know they are away till the 5th, so I thought I'd ask on here while they are away. It's a B52, which I don't think they do anymore, do does any one know if they have a stock of these to replace our would they use another models stickers and can you chose? Also does anyone know roughly what the cost is for a full refurb, new toe and face guard, stickers and 2 grips?
Cheers
Kenny

If they have got the stickers in stock they will change them like for like if not they will put different stickers on but I shaw they will give you the option before going ahead I think a full refurb is around 45 pounds that's with new grip stickers and toe guard

Well worth it too. I've had two Newbery refurbs and both came back like new. Only GM come close in my opinion.

Cheers guys, does the price include return postage? I live near Hawk and they do a great job when they refurb and potentially it would save me £20 on postage. However they won't (rightfully) sticker up the bat. Would Newbery send out a set of stickers if I could show them the shoulder stamp and have Hawk apply them? I know it's all terribly vain!

Contact newbery then you will know for sure as you won't get a definite answer just speculation

Spoke to Newbery, they said they had a few B52 sets of stickers left but I could chose anything from their current range apart from the Kudos 2.
So I thought I would see what you guys would pick?
Also on a side note, who would you guys use to send a bat with?

TNT through interparcel on 2-3 day service

Cheers for the info.
What stickers would you go for?

Very much a personal choice have a look on web and decide what you like
I put white grips on all my bats as I like it to look classic not like a stick of Blackpool rock.....

I am tempted by the Panache as I like the minimalist stickers that show off the wood.
